Well, I missed it. Couldn’t get to it when the thing was huge; trees, clouds, etc… interrupted. Should have set a ladder against the house and clambered onto the roof but… well, I’d never have gotten down.
From this morning…
drowning at 7 feet sea level
I heard that somewhere, a long time ago. Don’t know that I believe it, though. Here’s my change: a plant I put in the ground at least five years ago decided to sprout and flower. One stalk, now two. Where the devil has it been?

No more unplanted gardens! In another bed more plants that I actually planted are coming up; it’s a bit unnerving.
Why now??
I was breaking in the new grill last night with kabobs when the dark crept up. I could barely see the grill, but the sky was alight with pink tendrils to the south and sun setting in the west.
The picture doesn’t do it justice. Not even close.
Bottom left you can see the pollen laden tree that’s trying to kill me.
O.D. wants some photos of her and Mike so I’m going through my folders… and I’ve deleted over 3,000 so far! Who wants a hundred pictures of a bug… or bird… or blister…?
That’s what I said upon finding this photo… holy mother of pearl… I used to take pictures!! And I enjoyed it! Just when I was starting to feel like a non person, too.
Larger version just because.
Yes, this is the type of thing that excites me. I’m easy.
My tiny little Early Bird Crape Myrtles (from Wilson Bros, a top notch place IMO) are budding! They’re still so small themselves, but so healthy and perfect!

And I put the poor root-bound philo in the ground. It’s going to be massive!

That’s it for this morning. Still much to do in this yard but not today… I have to give my body the day off.
