Thank the good Lord I get up early!
Most are as shot.
They look pretty but are not overwhelming like the real thing. Not even a fraction of the beauty is represented here. I ran around taking pictures, forgetting knee pain, hip pain… saying “thank you” with almost every heartbeat.
O.D. wants some photos of her and Mike so I’m going through my folders… and I’ve deleted over 3,000 so far! Who wants a hundred pictures of a bug… or bird… or blister…?
That’s what I said upon finding this photo… holy mother of pearl… I used to take pictures!! And I enjoyed it! Just when I was starting to feel like a non person, too.
Larger version just because.
I think she needs a name as beautiful as her blooms. What say you?
The difference between the first and second picture: 12 inches and a shadow. In reality they’re all deeply, brilliantly blue.
My friend Joanie first taught me about shadows and light and for that I thank her, because I look for it everywhere now. 😉
First photo with my new iPhone…
Untouched in any way… and yes, my ficus hedge is dying a pitiful death. Still.
The guys want $800 to drag them out but I figure my pulling the dead up one at a time is cheaper.
Anyway, I was excited to receive the new phone yesterday; my Christmas gift from Mike!
Love the way it treats light and shadow… each seem to be in balance, the shadow neither too dark nor the light garish/blown out.
I don’t know that it can replace my Canon, but we’re going to have fun, this phone and I.
