23 Years
Mike and I have been married for 23 years… yesterday. He surprised me by coming home last night with two boxes of chocolate, two cards, a dozen roses and three dinners from Flannigan’s. What can I say? The man knows I love my food. Their ribs are delish!
He read my earlier post and felt… bad? Sorry for me? He’s such a sweetheart and I’m so grateful for him.
But I got happy in the same shorts I got sad in, darlin’. Not your fault at all. I love you for many reasons, including caring for me and my feelings. But listen, you can bring me ribs any time!! 🙂
Love you, always.
I Don’t Have a Playlist for Thursdays
I do for Tuesdays.
The man is working on something. A cooler; I don’t know. He’s doing something with fiberglass.
I love his hands. That is all.
Daisy on the sofa. Just because she’s so damn cute.
And I threw a big ‘ol clove of garlic into a pot and it put down roots. We’ll see what happens next.
That’s basically my day. Must return to cleaning now. Ta!
February
I can’t believe the month is half gone. It’s been a lovely, cool winter for those of us in south Florida, so I’ll be sorry to see Spring this year.
My husband sent two dozen roses for Valentine’s Day, as is his habit. I told him one single rose would be just as appreciated, but if it makes him happy to send 24, so be it.
In the not-so-good news, the neighbor behind us decided there was too much damn ivy over on his side and cut it back… with extreme prejudice. I can’t blame him; if it’s over there, it’s fair game. But damn… almost all of it is dead now. And that sucks.
Post Vacation Ennui
After my sister in law and her friend left town I fell into a depression… not surprisingly. After working to fix the house up in preparation, then all the running about during their visit, it’s only natural to experience a let down.
Things are getting better after settling back down into a routine. Or rut. Still.
I hadn’t taken any pictures since they left, so went out this morning with a mission: shoot something. Anything!
To start, it’s an incredibly beautiful day, even if it is on the warm side. I’m grateful for these days even if the cold weather is calling me…
