Here are some items in the recent (massive) bill I take issue with, but there are more… oh, yes, there are many more.
Oh, I know. Everyone had to make concessions to get the NOT beautiful bill through Congress. This is why I hate politics. A well-intended sod goes to Washington and before you know it, they’re billionaires and throwing our money away at things like WHALING! And let’s not forget our tax dollars being spent on renovating a building and moving a shuttle. WTF?

Realized I hadn’t posted a picture of the ‘other side’ completed. For not knowing anything, it came out… well, not bad.
We call the vanity ‘Moby Dick’ (the white whale).
ALSO, the Thanksgiving cactus has apparently given up keeping track of the months…
Before this I’d never done a renovation. Ever. Hadn’t picked things out like: tile, paint, vanities… this was an education. At every turn my contractor texted “do you have the…?” and I would panic and reply “what tile?” “what grout?” You get the idea. I felt like a fool.
Because of my ignorance we bought a bunch of stuff that really doesn’t go together, so I’m currently working on using decor to tie it together. These pictures don’t relay any of the decor (we don’t even have a mirror yet… and have never used the shower!) but pictures of the resulting mess are forthcoming.

The guest bathroom will be much better! We won’t do it until this summer, but I’m already working on it!
