I wanted some of those giant Philodendrons, the ‘Selloum’ variety, but of course Home Depot had absolutely nada and Lowe’s only had one ‘Hope’ (which I bought but am not thrilled with). Didn’t want to hike 50 miles to Miami so instead purchased seeds on the internet. As one does.
Philodendron bipinnatifidum at Floridata.
And my 19 seedlings, which really tickle me. Almost time to plant in pots.
There are way too many for my lot, which is why there will soon be little pots of babies at the curb. My crinum lilies went pretty fast so I’m sure these will as well.
My neighbors succeeded in killing off an entire fence length of beautiful ivy, except for this bit. I tried to save the others that had been cut back over and over… to no avail.
And.. I still stand in the middle of the back yard, looking into their house -because there’s no thick wall of ivy anymore- and wonder WHY.
I should be at Home Depot buying caulk and paint, but couldn’t pass this up…

No bokeh, but check the growth speed! Hard to believe I just got this booger a few days ago.

In other news, have you ever seen a bulb glass like this? I think when the hyacinth dies (let’s just go ahead and face the inevitability of it now, k?) I’ll put a lily bulb in it and see what happens.
Still working on the yard; this time one of the front beds. Looks crazy messy, but it was worse before I tackled it…
