Heavens Above

Thank the good Lord I get up early!

Most are as shot.

They look pretty but are not overwhelming like the real thing. Not even a fraction of the beauty is represented here. I ran around taking pictures, forgetting knee pain, hip pain… saying “thank you” with almost every heartbeat.

Morning

This morning’s sky was breathtaking. Do you see that light teal on the lower right of the picture above? (It’s hard to see in an image this small.) The entire sky was that color, only more so. I ran back into the house for my phone but it just wouldn’t capture all the color. I don’t know why, but I won’t easily forget that gorgeous color, splashed across the heavens.

I bet people waiting for the bus just beyond the fence wondered who yelled “Wow!” for five straight minutes. 😉

Thank goodness we live on a corner lot or I’d miss so much, including amazing sunsets! It was truly lovely.

Brilliance

I thought the Everglades were on fire last night, the sunset was so brilliant!

…and a full view.

It was amazing. These might be the best of the pictures but who knows, I took so many.

And all I had to do was walk out my back door. Wow.

Weed Haven

The yard guys are obviously running behind, but I delight in the weeds. Never one to worry over or demand grassy perfection, I’m happy as long as it’s green.

When it grows out this long I plop down amongst the blue, violet and yellow. The bees work purposefully around me, from flower to flower, unconcerned by my presence or that of the dogs. Serenity!
