Which do you prefer?
I only noticed the Loggerhead Shrikes this year. They are suddenly abundant, loud and nearly completely fearless. I like them.
With and Without Feather
New Windows!
Three are broken and four sills have to be replaced, but we finally got the new windows in! Yes, I am happy.
Before, of course. Goodbye, nasty old rotted aluminum crap. Honestly, some of those thin little panes were just barely sitting in the frame, it was all so rotted.
After!
The broken part, which can be easily replaced. The inside pane is broken. The outside pane is pretty much unbreakable.
Happy and tired. 🙂
From the Old Windows
They’ll be the torn off, thrown aside scrap soon, these old bastards. So, the view out two of them.

She Means Business
Now 10, Daisy still puts hunting above all else. She’s good at it, too, being a Dachshund. Lethal. And although she snores beneath my desk at this very moment, I bet she’s dreaming about hunting.
She also desperately needs a haircut.
My greatest ability is knowing when to keep my mouth shut. My head is getting very noisy, though.
