I painted the master closet (yes, this is how small the master closet is; can you imagine the matchbox that is the guest closet?) Ultra Pure White and this is pretty much how it seems when I go in there.
Took me all weekend, which is more a nod to my age than anything else. It was only a prelude, though, because I plan on painting the whole house.
Should be done by this time next year. Ha.

That’s not so bad as far as closets go. I’ve seen smaller. Much smaller. Of course, it’s all relative. If you need more space, I recommend organizers. Maximize the space to get everything you need in there.
I love the Ultra Pure White! Ideally, I’d have a whole house painted with it, with gorgeous raw wood and metal accents everywhere.
BTW, my home would look a lot like the Aguilar house on season 5 of Fixer Upper https://magnolia.com/our-show/episode-05-la-pequena-colina/ — except for the wood in the shower. 1) teak wood is not a sustainable product. 2) wood in the shower gets gross faster than you can imagine. I do not like gross wood.

I LOVE that house! It’s such a California home. It reminds me of the house in The Parent Trap (original). Ever since I saw the movie I’ve wanted to live there. The Cracker Shack ain’t that and unless I hit the lottery it’s not happening. That’s okay.
2) Yeah, ask anyone with a boat with teak on it anywhere. LOL!

That house is in Waco. I would move there in a heartbeat if it were offered to me. But I’d still change the shower.
I just don’t understand why people don’t think long-term on materials like that. Or open shelving next to stoves.
Sigh.
I can live anywhere, but were I able to have my own place built, I’d go with the Aguilar home. (Pretty much any place with that clean, bright, homey feel…as long as it’s a single story home. Girlfriend don’t do stairs these days.)

I didn’t know that about teak, but I still wouldn’t use it. It does get gross and teak oil to make it pretty again is toxic as hell. Nasty and there is no reason for it.
As much as I love wood… nope.
