No thank you

Obama rode his unicorn named Hope ‘n Change into the White House. And we all know how that turned out. The frightening thing is, I see it happening again.

I refer to another man who is trading on a cult of personality, Donald Trump. He considers himself a competitor. He also apparently considers himself above everything else, even the good of the country. For if The Donald truly wanted to further conservative ideals and put a man or woman who mattered in the White House, he’d find a candidate to support, not waste valuable votes on himself. One wonders if he’s secretly working for Obama, who he supported in ’08.

Sound harsh? Go to the 6 minute mark in the video, where he talks about donating to Democrats and brushing off Republicans because they don’t have a chance. “No thank you.”

This is an enormously influential man. If he were truly interested in Conservative ideals he’d not only have thrown his money at those Republican candidates, but his personal support. He did neither.

Did Ltc. Allen West win his first election? No, he did not. But his supporters kept fighting and this last November Mr. West went to Washington.

That’s how it works; we all support who we want for office. Thank God we still can. But Trump said that he supports who the polls tell him to support. That’s just not good enough.

He’s having fun. Obviously loves the attention. He seems to blame China for all our problems, which is ludicrous… we made our own problems, thank you very much, and we’ll have to sort them out ourselves. Some of what he’s saying resonates with voters, but I’d caution people to do their due diligence.

No thank you, Mr. Trump.

Trump in 2012?

The Donald is seriously considering a run at POTUS. Would you, could you, vote for Trump?

“I’m a Republican so if I did anything, I’d do it, I guess, as a Republican,” Trump said. “I’m totally being serious because I can’t stand what’s happening to the country. First time I am being serious about it. I’ve been asked for years to do it. And I had no interest. This is the first time I am — at least I’m considering it. That doesn’t say I’m going to do it … but I am seriously considering it.”

“I think my whole life has sort of been about finesse when you get right down to it. I mean it’s — what running a country is, is to a certain extent we have to bring principle back and we have to also bring common sense back,” Trump said. “We have no common sense. We have no common sense. And we’re losing this country. Mark my words, if we keep going this way, we’re losing this country. It will no longer be great. It’s not respected to anywhere near what it used to be.

I could possibly vote for Donald Trump. A businessman would be a welcome change. Or maybe it’s the cracker metaphor; when you’re hungry even a saltine tastes good.
