Obama rode his unicorn named Hope ‘n Change into the White House. And we all know how that turned out. The frightening thing is, I see it happening again.
I refer to another man who is trading on a cult of personality, Donald Trump. He considers himself a competitor. He also apparently considers himself above everything else, even the good of the country. For if The Donald truly wanted to further conservative ideals and put a man or woman who mattered in the White House, he’d find a candidate to support, not waste valuable votes on himself. One wonders if he’s secretly working for Obama, who he supported in ’08.
Sound harsh? Go to the 6 minute mark in the video, where he talks about donating to Democrats and brushing off Republicans because they don’t have a chance. “No thank you.”
This is an enormously influential man. If he were truly interested in Conservative ideals he’d not only have thrown his money at those Republican candidates, but his personal support. He did neither.
Did Ltc. Allen West win his first election? No, he did not. But his supporters kept fighting and this last November Mr. West went to Washington.
That’s how it works; we all support who we want for office. Thank God we still can. But Trump said that he supports who the polls tell him to support. That’s just not good enough.
He’s having fun. Obviously loves the attention. He seems to blame China for all our problems, which is ludicrous… we made our own problems, thank you very much, and we’ll have to sort them out ourselves. Some of what he’s saying resonates with voters, but I’d caution people to do their due diligence.
No thank you, Mr. Trump.
