Finally! One of the little tomatoes turned red. Nope, didn’t pick it… but look at the trunk of that mutant tomato plant; it’s growing fur!!

Confederate Jasmine. Like this because you can see the little wagon wheels in the center…

UPDATE:
I picked it! Our first organic tomato. Sure, it’s small, but there are a hundred of them on the mutant plant. And I have another strain started. {I like tomatoes.}

I’m afflicted with the stuff every year, so clearly I cannot identify it.
Thought about weeding while waiting for the roofer, but… not this noxious looking plant…

Record rainfall, when rain is part of our daily life in the aptly named “rainy season”? No biggie… until the bastard roof started leaking.

Our roofer, a man as critically vital to my health and well-being as my gynecologist and hair stylist, is swamped, but promises to come by tomorrow. Can’t get on the roof when it’s raining this hard.
Every time the rain gets a little worse I cringe…

Found this while cleaning out the lily bed… it’s beautiful, though very, very small.



The seed it sprang from…

It’s almost orchid-like, but alas, just a weed. I should re-plant it to see what grows…
