Since August, South Korea has confiscated 17,500 capsules containing the powdered flesh of dead babies, which smugglers had tried to bring into the country from China, officials say.
Why would anyone want powdered baby flesh?
The capsules are “thought by some to cure disease and boost stamina,” says the BBC. However, nothing could be further from the truth. South Korean officials say that the capsules contain “super bacteria” that are harmful to humans, and that the crackdown is necessary to protect the South Korean public from a health hazard.
Where do the capsules come from?
The capsules seized by South Korea “were made in northeastern China from babies whose bodies were chopped into small pieces and dried on stoves before being turned into powder,” says Kim. The manufacturers are reportedly ethnic Koreans in northeastern China, near the border with North Korea. It’s thought that they obtained the remains from hospitals and abortion clinics, using both dead infants and fetuses.
Has anyone been prosecuted?
No. The smugglers say they were tricked into believing the capsules were “ordinary” stamina enhancers.
US offered Israel advanced weaponry in exchange for delaying Iran attack: report
The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry — including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes — in exchange for Israel’s agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday.
President Obama reportedly made the offer during Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington this week.
Under the proposed deal, Israel would not attack Iran until 2013, after US elections in November this year. The newspaper cited unnamed Western diplomatic and intelligence sources.
Netanyahu said Monday that sanctions against Iran had not worked, adding that “none of us can afford to wait much longer” in taking action against Iran’s controversial nuclear program.
However, Netanyahu told FOX News Channel on Wednesday that he did not think war with Iran was inevitable. He added that the only way to deter Tehran was to advocate carrying out a serious military strike against the Islamic Republic.
On Thursday, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei welcomed Obama’s support for finding a diplomatic solution to the Iranian crisis.
“This talk is good talk and shows an exit from illusion,” AFP reported Khamenei as saying, citing the leader’s website. However, Khamenei criticised the continued imposition of international sanctions against Iran.
“The US president continued saying that he wants to make the Iranian people kneel through sanctions, this part of this speech shows the continuation of illusion in this issue,” he said.
Israel is a sovereign nation. If they have cause [and they do] they can attack Iran without the American president setting terms or buying time periods. Methinks the Prime Minister is well aware of that fact and is humoring Obama the best he can while he waits for the elections – because hopefully a real ally of Israel will be elected.
We knew that anyone who sat in Rev. Wright’s church for 20 years and thought the islamic call to prayer the prettiest sound on earth would not truly be pro-Israel. Indeed, Obama has led the fight against her.

My neighborhood gardening friend Joe and his wife just returned from summering in Israel with family. He reports that things are not great.
I’d never heard Joe’s story before, but he walked along with Mike and I one night while we aired the dogs and he opened up a little. His parents fled the Nazis into Austria and that’s where he was born. We didn’t get a play by play, but he’s been a U.S. citizen for many years.
Joe is a reformed obama supporter, the very best kind of opposition. Like an ex-smoker, he’s rabid on the subject and has his litany of complaints at the ready. Basically, he was sold a lie and knows it and tells everyone within earshot how evil our president is and how we’d best vote his butt out. He works the elections at our polling place and said he’d like to sit outside with a sign that says “Obama NO” on it, but there are rules about that.
Global leaders are so busy pontificating on how essential it is for a “State of Palestine” to be founded that none of them seems to have noticed that it already exists. Since the Palestinian Authority was established in 1994, the contours of the “State of Palestine” have taken form in front of our eyes. So what will this famous “State of Palestine” look like?
It will be a racist state ethnically cleansed of Jews, as the PLO representatives proclaimed the last week. A state led by Holocaust enablers like Hamas or by a Holocaust denier like Mahmoud Abbas, who, in a book, downgraded the number of Jewish victims and denied that the gas chambers were used to murder Jews. In any case, Palestine would be a state committed to the destruction of the nearby Jews’ homeland.
It will also be a state that will banish freedom of conscience for artists, journalists and writers. A state that will drive away Christians from the land, while proclaiming Jesus “the first fedayeen.” A state that will stone to death Arab homosexuals and prostitutes, who are now finding shelter in Israel. A state that will torture Arab inmates in prisons and that will throw political dissidents from the roofs of public buildings. A state where the Iranian clergy will preach Khomeinist ideology. A state that will accept money and support from the genocidal Muslim Brotherhood? in the name of “the caliphate or death,” as the Islamists who assassinated Egypt’s Anwar Sadat in 1981 decorated their holding cages.
A state where the Sharia – the Islamic legal code – will be the only rule of law. A state that will be put to death human beings simply because they are guilty of apostasy (conversion to Christianity). A state where women will be obliged to wear headscarves. A state where “honor killings” will terrorize the female population. A state that will commemorate terrorists, human suicide bombers and baby killers in public squares, streets and monuments.
