Bank of America: Anti 2nd Amendment

Bank of Something, but it sure isn't America

Apparently doing business with a firearm related company is too risky for one of the largest banking institutions in the U.S..

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing and McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. But no more: In a recent meeting, the mega-bank told the firearms company that its business is no longer welcome.

Operations director Kelly McMillan told the Daily Caller that his company has never been late on a payment and has never bounced a check. The debt outstanding on its line of credit is at 61 percent.

But at the bank’s request, he said, the McMillan group of companies would soon be paying off its credit line and closing its accounts.

Writing Thursday on Facebook, McMillan described a meeting at his office with Ray Fox, a business banking Senior Vice President with the giant bank. What was originally scheduled as an “account analysis” meeting, however, quickly became a political smackdown.

The Bank of America emissary, he said, “spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.”

“At this point I interrupted him,” McMillan said, and asked, ‘Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.’”

Fox’s reply, according to McMillan? “That is correct.”

McMillan told TheDC that he plans to move his company’s account to “a more Second Amendment-friendly bank” as soon as it can be done.

He recalls telling the bank executive that he planned to tell the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, and his other gun-loving friends “that Bank of America is not firearms-industry-friendly.”

“You have to do what you must” was Fox’s reply, he said. “We have to assess the risk of doing business with a firearms related industry.”

Daily Caller

Guess they don’t want our business, either.

Facts, not Personality

We were impressed with Newt partly because he had a plan for Day One that included dismantling at least 40% of obama’s socialist framework. Firing the ‘czars’, getting rid of Sarbanes-Oxley and tossing obamacare into the shredder was just the beginning. He put everything out there, exactly what he believed, what he wanted to accomplish.

Romney, widely perceived as a big government RINO (probably because he is), has been squishy on the issues and couldn’t be pinned down about much of anything. I’ve heard interviews in which he hemmed and hawed about state’s rights, “looking at parts of it” and other tepid responses when faced with obamacare questions… probably because obamacare was based on romneycare.

Finally, in an interview with Breitbart News, Romney said he will work for a full repeal of obamacare, not simply give the states waivers. Day One.

What else you got, Mitt? Woo us. This isn’t 2008; we’re jaded.. toughened for battle. We need facts, not personality.

Time to Cowboy Up.

Found this while cleaning out the lily bed… it’s beautiful, though very, very small.

The seed it sprang from…

It’s almost orchid-like, but alas, just a weed. I should re-plant it to see what grows…

The People’s Cube delivers some of the tastiest hors d’oeuvres on the interwebs. I really love this graphic

Haha!

But I was not as amused with the accompanying graphic, which displays a little fish on a bicycle next to Fluke…

Haha?

What the Fluke analogy seems to be saying is: in her eyes, a woman needs a family like a fish needs a bicycle.

DEEP BREATH

Freedom means you can have a family if you so choose. Or not. Though children are a gift from God, some of us are not physically capable of receiving that gift. Some of us simply choose to be single. Some of us are gay and are barred from unions with our partners. Or how about we know our own limitations?

Yes, Fluke is a tool. But even though she would like for us to pay for some of them, she’s a woman who makes her own choices… just like childless little me.

Or maybe I’m overreacting…

High Normal

The yard guys took the heads off my sunflowers today in their zeal to do a good job… but tiny tomatoes make up for the loss.

I WANT TO CELEBRATE!

After two years of pretty bad to fair liver enzyme reports, today I heard that they are now testing down to high normal. Those two words never sounded so nice to anyone, ever, as they did to me today. HIGH NORMAL. Still high, but within normal parameters.

Thank you, God; it’s nice to be any kind of normal again.

Pizza tonight!!

Couple more from this evening…

Bill Cosby and the Excuses

April 16, 2012

Now performing on a television near you!

Entertainer and Activist Bill Cosby held forth on CNN’s State of the Union yesterday.
Candy Crowley lobbed some easy ones over the net and Cosby returned with finger pointing at everyone except the man who is really to blame for the country’s current position: sinkhole over a cliff edge.

CROWLEY: You know that there has been some disappointment in the African- American community, some disappointment in the lesbian-gay community, some disappointment for those sort of on the lower end of the economic ladder, that the president hasn’t done enough, that he got into office and went too middle of the road. Do you find anything that he has done that disappoints you?

COSBY: I’m disappointed that people who don’t look at the woes and the trouble given to this man, people blatantly speaking out against his color, wasting time, starting up new stories about whether or not he was born here, saying things that they can’t prove. And this man — I feel sometimes — not all the time — that it’s like watching — his job is — people want to make it as difficult as the one that Sisyphus had.

And then when you see that he made promises and said things, the people who were supposed to be working with him didn’t. The people who are supposed to be working — even for another party — didn’t care about the American people. They wanted to get him.

When people make statements like, “I hope he fails,” you can’t color that any other way except the way it’s said. And yes, OK, gays, lesbians, blacks, illegal aliens — pardon me — people like that are right. It didn’t happen. But look at why it didn’t happen. It’s a man trying to go about doing his job, and a ton of other people voting against him and regardless of what he says.

CROWLEY: Isn’t that kind of, though, the definition of politics and how –

COSBY: No, no –

CROWLEY: — Washington doesn’t always work with the parties?

COSBY: No, this was worse. This was worse. And everybody knows it was worse. And I think that this second term is one where we are really going to see a man who gets it, knows it. And it’s going to be better, period.

CROWLEY: So you’re confident there will be a second term?

COSBY: I am more than confident because he knows now who to say no to. He knows now who to say, I don’t care what you say, this is going to happen. And I believe he is for the people.

Bill can vent his spleen whenever he wants, but it’s pretty obvious that regardless of people’s opinions, NOONE has prevented obama from increasing our debt $5 trillion, appointing approximately 36 ‘czars’, people with inestimable power and questionable ideologies outside the purview of Congress and enacting that white whale obamacare. And what he’s done to our military and ability to defend ourselves should be illegal.

Cosby can place blame on the conservatives in Congress and talk show personalities, but obama does what obama wants.
And oh, yeah! This next term is going to rock because now obama knows how to SAY NO. I’ve got news for you, Bill; he already knows who to get around and how. Remember DEEMING bills passed? Why do you think we’re teetering off that cliff edge?

Take those Hope n’ Change glasses off, Bill. HALF of America is on government assistance and pays no income tax. The top 10% of earners in this country pay 73% of the taxes. Those are by and large the people who employ Americans… who obama wants to TAX FURTHER. Let’s drive them ALL out of the country with the highest corporate tax rates in the world!

Cosby also spoke about the Trayvon shooting, of course. Supposedly it was all about race. Guess you had to be there.

EDUCATE yourself, Bill. Using that old chestnut race as an excuse is only going to get you so far.
