Shut Down

Obama sets precedent as first U.S. president to incite riots, Civil War.

“At this moment when our politics appear so sharply polarized and faith in our institutions so greatly diminished we need more than ever to take heed of Dr. King’s teachings,” the president said.

“If he were alive today, I believe he would remind us that the unemployed worker can rightly challenge the excesses of Wall Street without demonizing all who work there,” he said, adding: “Aligning our reality with our ideals often requires the speaking of uncomfortable truths and the creative tension of non-violent protest.”

Could someone tell me what they think Wall Street has done to them, because I don’t understand.

What I DO understand is that money and wealth are NOT civil rights. Money is earned and wealth is a responsibility. Neither are simply given, no matter how hard one begs.

We are being shut down.

Government wants to control our every move.
There are cameras on every streetlight, to monitor our movements. Those cameras flash constantly, taking pictures not only of law breakers, but all of us.
Toll roads won’t take real money anymore; we have to use transponders…

Kapsch has a ten-year agreement in place to provide transponders for 22 electronic toll systems across the United States.

Kapsch’s latest patent filing is for a transponder equipped with a multi-function camera system, for the purpose of verifying the number of occupants within a vehicle. In other words, future Kapsch transponders may have the ability to monitor the inside of your car.

On the more sinister and paranoid side, it could be used to track individuals, or monitor activity within a vehicle. Captured images would be transmitted to a server at random intervals, with accompanying location metadata, or the images could be downloaded on demand by a central monitoring location.
AllCarTech

We all know how difficult it is to fly, but how about other methods of travel? The same scanners used at airports are going in at bus and train stations. We won’t be able to move without Big Brother breathing down our necks.

Why did the government take over two American car companies and subsequently parcel them out among the unions and foreign interests? Was it to force production of a vehicle that can only go 40 miles between charges?
During that fiasco, Obama arbitrarily closed dealerships that donated to a Republican candidate.

Police cars are equipped with cameras that scan tags so that when it hits one that’s been reported stolen [or something else], the officer is notified.

At least 80% of the media is leftist and no telling how much of it is controlled by the administration. Controlling information is a biggie.

Was ‘Fast and Furious’ really to track weapons -including hand grenades-[somebody is really stupid] and statistics or another attempt to demonize them? If they’re so bad, the government may have to take them to protect us from ourselves.

They don’t want us to have to show identification in order to vote… so they can vote multiple times.

The ‘occupy’ protestors are unwittingly part of Obama’s Army; a generation told they don’t have enough as they wave their technology and degrees around… Funded by Soros, they fit his Alinsky goals to a T.

Ultimately, I believe the goal is to have us work for the government. That’s already starting; the only jobs on the rise are government jobs. The communists and marxists in control want total control.

And let’s not get started on socialized medicine, a.k.a. obamacare.

We’ve been shut down, tucked in, manipulated and used. But there’s one thing we still have that they’ll play bloody hell getting away from us: our guns. As long as the 2nd Amendment stands, hope remains.

And that’s my somewhat disjointed rant for the day.

The Marxist Revolution EDIT

Glenn Beck has been warning about this organized revolution for some time. Rush talked about it as well, but not to this extreme.

And…

Doug Ross reported the protestors to the EPA!

(Hat tip Erinyes)

Funny, how it’s allowed to continue… no permits, these people are making demands… or have no demands outside someone pay off their tuition, but they’re camped on public property, defecating where they please… and it’s fine? What am I missing here?

EDITED TO ADD their fearless leader…

(I know it says ‘reture’… fixing shortly)

Sixties Flashbacks

So, the Commies at all the ‘occupy’ protests around the world are… clueless, most of them. The Telegraph calls them ‘a crowd of misfits protesting against everyone and everything’. Reuters reported that they were funded by Soros, but recanted after an intoxicating whiff of his $22 billion.

Spitting on the military is evidently back in vogue among hippies. I’m sure hubby, as well as many others, will have some real flashbacks over that one.

And I know you’ll be surprised that the labor unions are supporting the ‘occupations’. No?

What repulses me even more than the spoiled brats illegally protesting? Talking Heads cheering them on.
Donny Deutsch, a man who has made his share of money, hopes for “a Kent State moment” so the movement can ‘grow’. Good grief!

Roseanne claims that “the rich should be beheaded if they don’t hand over their wealth” WTF? Is she first?

Froggy describes fools like the one below as a ‘Non Contributing Zero‘, but I think he’s being kind.

How do you describe the undescribable? The simple way of addressing this NCZ would be to mention that he’s still $hitting chow from his high school cafeteria while the people in the building with “yachts” have been working productively longer than he has been stealing oxygen.

But he and his hipster girlfriend seem to be suggesting that there was an America in the past where snot nosed punks got a free college education, a “living wage”, and single payer universal health care. Except I’m pretty sure they are wrong about that. It’s as if something has been taken from them that we always had like, oh I don’t know, the right to bear arms maybe. But nothing has been taken from them. Its just that they have been given far too much, and the idea that they won’t be getting anymore without going out and earning it has them in a complete state of panic.

The meltdown child is actually Edward T. Hall III.

The kid’s name is Edward T. Hall III. He is the poster boy for the movement. He’s a student at Columbia University.
It figures.

“Ted” attended Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, and Bard College and is the grandson of this famous anthropologist. He also runs a company called lghtsrc.org that’s dedicated to “unifying humanity’s shared tools to make sure life on Earth flourishes.” Ted was part of an “agile” committee whose tasks range from organizing candlelight vigils in 45 minutes to “on-the-down-low” missions like spotting undercover cops. (“There are CIA and FBI all over the place.”)
Gateway Pundit

Google ‘Ted’. You’ll want to, really.

EDIT: American Rage Boy, according to the NYT, which sat down with him for a summit of sorts:

Mr. Hall is a well-educated young man with a privileged upbringing who said he was following a calling greater than getting a job and making money.

These people all need a good spanking and re-education that does away with an entitlement mentality and Alinsky thinking.

Joe

Meet Joe. He’s the reformed obamaite/gardener in the hood. The man sticks stuff in the ground and it grows. It’s like a dang miracle. He also brings cuttings over for me, which usually die. But he perseveres, and brings more. Just the other day he quietly walked over and planted cuttings of something and then left without even letting us know he’d been here.

Arthur went over to help Joe with his garage door opener today and I tagged along… and of course brought a camera. The Canon doesn’t have a macro lens, but the little Fuji performed pretty well, especially since I just point and shot, half blinded by the sun.

The man, the myth... Joe.

Oh, yeah. These are the tip of the iceberg.

He plucked a cactus leaf and started eating it.

Adjusting to the Carlucci Act

October 13, 2011

Florida’s Joe Carlucci Uniform Firearms Act, which gives gun regulation solely to the state, went into effect October 1st.

The Act is forcing cities and counties to modify their laws, as it makes all future and existing local government ordinances related to firearms regulation illegal. This has caused no little anxiety amongst city and county commissioners all over Florida.

Right here in my neck o’ the woods, our commissioners are upset, even frightened… and looking for ways to change it somehow.

“Basically, what the state of Florida has said is that if any local government attempts to enforce anything regarding firearms, because regulation of firearms is controlled to the state, the individual employee or officer would be violating the law and could be prosecuted,” Margate City Attorney Eugene Steinfeld said.

In Margate they are amending six sections of the city’s code and deleting two sections. Coconut Creek is deleting one section of its code and amending two sections. Both cities are removing similar sections banning the firing of guns within city boundaries and Margate is also erasing a section about needing a permit to fire within city limits.

Margate did not have an ordinance about carrying guns in public parks, but Coconut Creek did. The city is changing the language so that it no longer prohibits people from having guns while in a city park. Also, Coconut Creek can no longer discipline employees for bringing a gun to work on city property.

The six amended sections of Margate’s include allowing a security guard to carry a gun without a police permit, anyone to fire a gun without a permit, and no more permitting fees for manufacturing, keeping, storage, sale and transportation ammunition and blasting powder.

“I think it’s pretty terrible what the legislature did. Innocent people are going to get hurt,” Coconut Creek Commissioner Becky Tooley said. “I don’t think it’s right that they can carry [guns] into public parks and buildings. If someone makes an appointment to see me, they can bring [a gun] into my office and blow me away. It needs to be overturned A.S.A.P.”

“If someone makes an appointment to see me, they can bring [a gun] into my office and blow me away.”

Coconut Creek Commissioner Lisa Aronson agreed with Tooley, and is looking at how the new law can be adjusted.

“I’ve asked the Broward League of Cities Public Safety Committee to discuss the new limitations and propose an amendment next legislative session in Tallahassee,” Aronson said.

Margate Mayor Pam Donovan was equally as frustrated with the new law while explaining it at a city commission meeting.

“Years ago the city of Margate had an ordinance saying you could not bring [a gun] into city hall,” Donovan said. “You couldn’t walk though those doors with a gun; permit, no permit, whatever, you could not go through those doors. Now you can.”

Sun-Sentinel

I love how they always make it sound like the Dalton gang is going to ride up and whip out their Winchesters… In reality, they have nothing to fear from law abiding concealed carry permit holders! The bad guys will always find a way to bring a gun in somewhere and do evil with it… and the people carrying concealed can actually be a help if that happens.
Besides, Courthouses are lousy with LEOs, whose job it is to spot trouble, serve and protect… and then fill out reams of paperwork. Yeah, I know I changed it.

Yesterday about mid-morning, a crime occurred at our community clubhouse. It’s sort of across the street from us, diagonally speaking. So, this asshole walks in, all the way to the back where Ed, the treasurer, sits. It’s all very informal and the door is always unlocked. The asshole walks in like he owns the place, pulls a knife and demands Ed give him money. All Ed had on him was 5.00, so the asshole took it… made a phone call and then left! I’m sure the police have him by now, what with his prints all over everything and redial!

All-too-near, just-over-the-hedge Clubhouse of Horror

What if Ed hadn’t had any money? Would that have upset the asshole enough to use his knife? If I were sitting over there every day, I’d have a gun and would go with the familiar ‘just let me get my purse’. But I work out in the yard all the time unarmed… which now concerns me more than ever…

I’m getting off the point, of course. If the asshole had had enough money of his own, he wouldn’t have relied solely on a knife to rob Ed; he’d have used a gun, as all bad guys aspire to the largest, baddest weapon possible. The point, and I do have one, is that if Ed had his own gun, the asshole would have been stopped in his tracks and he’s still have his money.

Concealed carry holders have been kept out of county and state parks for years and now we’re free to go back… it’s a nice feeling.
