The endgame of The Sequester Hustle is to blame the economy tanking on cutting less than 2% of the federal budget. Obama doesn’t want his failed first-term policies blamed for a double-dip recession, so he’s playing Chicken Little with sequester so the GOP and a lack of government largess are blamed. Naturally, the media is as all-in on this con as their Master is.
TWO THOUSAND illegal aliens were released from detainment to fuel the hysteria related with cutting but 2.4% of the total federal spending.
The I.R.S. will require its employees to take an unpaid week’s furlough, like more than half of all government workers.
The FAA is reducing its budget by $600 million for 2013. As part of that action, employees will be furloughed and towers will close.
Here is a list of air traffic control facilities that could close.

FAA just this afternoon informed the three ATC contractors (RVA, Midwest ATC, and Serco) that no later than Monday, March 4 the contractors and the airport directors at the 189 contract towers (see attached list) scheduled for closure will receive notification that these towers will be closed on April 1 (except applicable cost share and Air National Guard towers; these cost share and Air National Guard towers will close on September 30, 2013). It is interesting to note that in the 31 year history of the FAA contract tower program only three towers have been shut down. Now, FAA plans to shut down 189 towers in a single day.
One hundred eighty nine traffic control towers gone, in one day.
Cuts to military, security. Where’s the rest of the money being cut? Surely not from programs like FOOD STAMPS FOR MEXICANS. Oh, hell no.
That little weasel. Surely, he is as mad as they say. IS the sequester being over-hyped and over-politicized? Yes, of course. But he’s using it as cover to wreak havoc. That’s what people need to know.

Lady M was in Chicago yesterday to kick off the latest phase of her taxpayer funded No Child’s Fat Behind program. This time we rented McCormick Place in Chicago (union shop; 3 day’s work: 1 day set up, 1 day operating audio/visual, 1 day tear down) for 6000 kids to be entertained by celebrity athletes and entertainers (including Lady M).
Since the Republicans have ensured that we don’t have enough money to keep illegal felons in jail, teachers in the classroom, policeman or fireman on the streets, air traffic controllers in their towers or TSA agents at the security checkpoints or send aircraft carriers to the Persian Gulf…well people are going to wonder where we’re going to get enough money to put dance classes back in schools all across the country.
Indeed.
