Odd to think that age difference really isn’t all that significant anymore. When we were 10, 40 was OLD. When we were 20, 50 was still older, but not so much. At 30, 60 is bearing down on us. At 40, well, 70 is just around the corner. At 50, may as well be getting all our AARP stuff sent to the same address.
Ah, yes, that first one is very midcentury modern California. Like Sinatra’s backyard in its heyday.
I love the “My Parents” piece. It speaks so beautifully of days gone by and the people we loved. The curve of his father’s back is lovely.
‘My Parents’ is very touching… it could be any couple of their generation…

I’m a sucker for old people anyway. Old, of course, being anything more than 30 years older than I am.
But of course.

Funny how that works, isn’t it?
