I can’t help myself; maybe it really is all about shapes and colors for me, a perpetual third grader.

The original thought was: if I learned something about art, or about what sort of art I liked best, it would somehow teach me something about myself. But so far it’s a wash. Yes, I like the shapes and colors, both controlled chaos and floating music variety… but really, I appreciate everything I’ve come across so far.

Maybe at the end of this little experiment I can go back and find the painting I liked best and order a print.

The greatest thing about art (visual or musical) is that there’s something for everybody and there’s also something for every mood you can experience. I like to think of it as facets of a diamond — it’s beautiful from every angle, so very different and yet all of one piece.
