DHS Needs Even More Ammo

Thomas Jefferson s DHS File

DHS, not the military, which is being scaled back. DHS. Totally different animal.

DHS Purchases 21.6 Million More Rounds of Ammunition

The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase a further 21.6 million rounds of ammunition to add to the 1.6 billion bullets it has already obtained over the course of the last 10 months alone, figures which have stoked concerns that the federal agency is preparing for civil unrest.

A solicitation posted yesterday on the Fed Bid website details how the bullets are required for the DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico.

The solicitation asks for 10 million pistol cartridge .40 caliber 165 Grain, jacketed Hollow point bullets (100 quantities of 100,000 rounds) and 10 million 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point bullets (100 quantities of 100,000 rounds).

The document also lists a requirement for 1.6 million pistol cartridge 9mm ball bullets (40 quantities of 40,000 rounds).

A study funded by the Department of Homeland Security that was leaked last year characterizes Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.

“Reverent of individual liberty”? You caught us! Nothing like the sweet smell of freedom… except to our government.

Gee, I remember when we weren’t at war with Eastasia and people could disagree with their elected officials without being branded terrorists. Seems like such a long time ago…

How many rounds are for targets and how many are for us? With this much ammo, is it part of a plan to shut down our ammo source ? 30 year supply is a lot

Good questions! Unfortunately, I have no answers.

And Peter, we don’t have that much rope.

It is an attempt to dry up the ammo supply. The sticking point is primers. There are a few small businesses making cartridge cases, there are bullet makers all over, and anyone with a camp stove and lead alloy can cast their own, but, no primer, no BANG! Unless one goes all the way back to flint locks. I’m not quite sure why no one new is going into the primer biz, that is the one part of ammo manufacture I know nothing about. Well, I’ve read about it but I’ve seen cartridge cases made and jacketed bullets made, and, of course, cast probably tens of thousands of lead alloy bullets, and made my own lube for those bullets.

I still contend, though, that there are not that many people willing and able to use all this ammo against Americans. Remember, no matter which sort of clowns Obama is turning into Generals, the men, and now women, with the rifles are our children. And I’m not going to stay up nights worrying about a platoon of Generals coming down the street, with all of the Sergeants, Corporals and PFCs having said “Sorry, Sir, that is an illegal order, I must, with respect, refuse it.”

Of course, this would be a lot simpler if the Republicans in the House would refuse any money to this clown car admin until there was a real budget. I would really like to know where the DHS is getting the money for these antics, with no effin’ budget.http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/angryhit.gifhttp://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/pirate.gifhttp://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/bud.gifhttp://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/smiley-finger007.gifhttp://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/texas_flag.gif

Well, if the military is suffering because of sequester and NO BUDGET, then why isn’t DHS?

We can’t afford to move the frigging carriers??? And let’s just blast that to the entire world, shall we?

      NO LEADERSHIP. http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/bud.gif
