I bought these a couple of years ago, when black elephant ears first showed up in my neck of the woods and I’ve not seen them since. Everything takes longer to make its way down here to south Florida… my sister in law is always asking if I’ve seen this or that new product and my response is negative nearly every time.
There are now several strains of black elephant ears, but these are Kona Coffee. They did very well sitting in a bucket of water for a year, but don’t like soil unless you water every day. Thus their appearance.

Gorgeousness!!!
I’m going to have to see if I can find some of these for my dad’s yard.
If you can’t find them locally, there are plenty of internet gardens selling them!
