I love the diner commercial – but I have lots of problems with the wrong girl commercial. Glock went too far with trying to placate the anti-gun yayas with this one.
One – you don’t go to the door even during the day without a weapon in your hand or tucked into your waistband if you are a woman alone and you are not expecting anyone.
Two – even if you did go to the door once and no one was there – right then you get your weapon next to you – round chambered ready to go in case next time he just kicks in the door. You don’t wait for the third time!
Three – did you see the ridiculous lock system on that door? jeeze lady.
Four – a weapon in a safe under the bed? you may as well not have the weapon lady. If the guy kicks in the door while you are in the kitchen what good is that weapon to you? If the guy quietly breaks in at night and the first you know of him is a board squeaking outside your bedroom door, you don’t have time to get the weapon out of the stupid safe – you may as well just throw that safe at him – and on and on.
I really don’t like this particular commercial – sends too many wrong messages.
The only correct message is have a Glock.
Of course if Diane gets her way you will not be able to buy a Glock anyway as they come standard with 15 round mags. Then again, I’m sure Glock is already redesigning for a 10 round mag – just in case. But if you happen to already own a Glock then you get to grandfather it in….. if you pay their $200 tax, fill out their paperwork to put it on a national registry (!) and wait for however many months it takes your local law enforcement agency to have time to process your paperwork along with the thousands of other people’s paperwork that are now trying to comply with the new law. Because that is what law abiding citizens do…. maybe.
I hear you and you can ask Mike: I said virtually the same things. Bad guys don’t wait for an invitation and girl should have had her weapon straight away. Even when she’s pointing it at him when he’s IN HER HOME, her finger’s not on the trigger.
Still like the commercial in part because Gunny’s in it. And at least it shows a woman who is not a victim. I’m pretty easy to please these days…
Feinstein can shove her want list up her nether regions.

um – and for the bad guys out there in the WNC area – let that first one be your one and only warning
CAP is the first to the door when there is a noise. Linda Lou would have her LadySmith .38 in her hand and to heck with looking out the peephole, she couldn’t open the door without me handy to control CAP and if the door got kicked in she’d have to shoot at the second one in, the first one would be lunch for a German Shepherd. Not quite sure if Bingo would eat any scraps.
I do wonder about this magazine limit. My clone of the Winchester Model 92 is, of course, a lever action but the tube mag holds twelve rounds and there is no inexpensive way to shorten it. I suppose I could put a wood or plastic rod in behind the follower but it would only take a screwdriver to remove it and make it an eeeevvvvilll high capacity gun. That’s of course if I ever recover that rifle from the river. Stupid canoe.
Even though I do not own any of the weapons to be banned – I would and will fight this. Next time they will go for more (just as this time they are going for more than last time) and next time mine could be on the list – if I don’t lose anything in a boating accident between now and the next time.
Well, we’re going back out to the Everglades soon…
But yes, we must fight, each and every time.

Interesting, if you just put a folding stock on a semi-automatic rifle it becomes a more lethal assault weapon – I am surprised they have not banned the manufacturing of these stocks – I have owned a rifle for 48 years and now all of a sudden it is the most evil thing there is and should be banned – This is the last thing that holds this country together, if the take them away there is no way back from hell, it will be over, The United States of America will be dead – if there is no shame in using recordings for the swearing in of the President (he has screwed up both of them) than what separates us from the leadership of someplace like North Korea

For the WIN!! Took that one clear to the house…

…but I agree, her home safety tactics could use a little work.
Still, it’s nice to see something positive about guns and self defense.

Well, it would be grandfathered in… but I hadn’t heard about paying ridiculous fees for grandfathered weapons…
Sounds like CAP knows her job! I’m afraid these dogs would ask for cookies!
