Sunrise brought vibrant pinks, peaches and oranges but by the time I got inside to change my lens everything had changed. It only takes a moment to disintegrate from Maxfield Parrish to nothing much at all.
The image is pretty horrid, but at least you can tell there was something glorious there somewhere.
…and funny little good for nothing Daisy.

she’s not good for nothing – she’s good for making you laugh

It’s a line, actually… ‘funny little good for nothing Mimi’…
Oh, that Daisy Maisy Dixie Cup!
And I think you did just fine on the sunrise. Unless you’re up a full hour before it happens, with camera at the ready, it’s pretty tough to catch. I say this as a woman who has driven all night to sit for two hours in the freezing cold to wait for the sun to hit just. the. right. spot. And then I’d still miss it because someone would ask me a question and distract me from my task.
It really was breathtaking. I stood, transfixed, then bolted into the house. Took this pic with the telephoto lens then decided to change… but yeah, it was like the magic was gone when I came back out.
Funny how that happens!
I got some pics up at my site, poor LCDR Fatboy aka Bingo T. Pug, stuffed into the Cone of Shame. Don’t show them to Daisy, Bree or Badger.
I won’t!
When I miss something that gorgeous with the camera, I have to believe God meant for me to see it with my heart instead of an electronic box.
I’m so good at rationalizing, aren’t I?
Wow, you really are! I feel better about it.
It’s the only way to live (as a creative)
Thank you!
Just a thought – how about just using video mode than use photoshop to make the best image a picture
I have just never done that. Need to try!
