Had the twins and their spouses and kids out yesterday for pot roast and made them help some for a little light work that I can’t hardly do anymore. Sunset came and the grandkids acted as if they were being tortured for having to go watch the sky for a few minutes.
I have failed.
The pot roast sure was good, even if I do say so myself, which I shouldn’t. But, then, if I don’t, who will? Did you know that dogs like pot roast leftovers?
Joanie, if you get here we can finally clear out the spare bedroom and make a spot for you. Two-three hours per day cleaning and assorted other work, playing with the dogs and laughing at my lame jokes is the room and board.
tempt me not, sir! Of course, if my dad keeps healing as well as he has been and is back on his feet sooner than expected, I may need a place to live! lol
Well, between Linda Lou and me and the widow lady next door we have five bedrooms, an acre of land, three dogs and two cars, plus enough aches and pains to need a little help. Dunno what you’d do for pocket money but maybe your photos would take off. We are all mostly easygoing with just a tad of to keep things interesting.

Aw, that’s kids. When they’re grown they’ll remember that sky and thank God they got to see it.
…still drooling over that roast! I made spaghetti for dinner. Again. I have a small, repetitive repertoire.
Must have been a small bullet…
Ha. Took me a minute.
Gorgeous butterfly! Beautiful depth of field, too. BRAVO!!
Pete, I’m all for helping out. Especially when roast is offered as a reward. I can be there next week.
Thanks! It’s the telephoto lens that does it! I couldn’t decide between this shot and another, so Mike cast the deciding vote.

Gorgeous!
Isn’t he? I hear they don’t live very long; maybe two to six weeks, so I feel lucky to have seen him close up.
