Embedding the Narrative

I knew it would take something brutal to rouse me from a self-induced Downton Abbey haze… and here it is:

The Kalifornia Teachers Union has produced and released a new video for the classroom. I saw red 48 seconds in; see how long you last…

[Video taken down by Kalifornia Teachers]

“Tax the Rich: An Animated Fairy Tale,” written by CFT staffer Fred Glass (2011 compensation: $139,800) and narrated by proud leftist actor (and 1 percenter) Ed Asner, advocates for higher taxes on the “rich” as the cure for government’s insatiable thirst for spending.

The video claims the rich got rich through tax cuts and tax loopholes and even tax evasion.

But when the 99 percent fought back, the “rich” apparently urinated on the “poor,” at least according to the video. What a classy way to frame your argument for children, Big Labor.

The video also claims that when the housing market crashed, the government printed money for “rich people” but they didn’t give any to “ordinary people whose houses and jobs were broken by the crash.”

So, the progressive narrative is more deeply embedded with every school year. Alinsky would be so proud.

UPATED to add logical, common sense video explaining all the ways in which the teacher’s union made mistakes. I even missed a couple!

Thank you Patti!

all I can say is since I have not watched TV or main street media for years, I do not agree with them – I was once a small business, as obviously they were not, so I know better – according to my education and life experience they do not have a clue what they are talking about and will only cause more job loss and government dependency so people will have no choice but to vote for the party that feeds them – we have now become a one party nation about to become a 3rd world like Cuba and Obama is our Castro – people never learn it seems

Yup. But… no. Nobody’s doing anything, except armchair quarterbacks like you and I… what happened to… well, the Tea Party? The marches? Where are they now?

Ok – first – these people need to catch up to the narrative, we’ve already doubled who is rich. 1% is old news – we’ve already doubled that to 2%. Six from now it will be 5% – then 15%….

Second – the rich do not write tax code – therefore they don’t write in the “loop holes” – congress does. (which of course you know)

Third – If they are evading their taxes – put them in jail. Except they aren’t – they are following the tax code – that was written by congress – many many of them Democrats…

Leftist propaganda is alive and well. And, since this teacher’s union and others like it, have been in charge of educating our children for decades – our children are too blinded and UNEDUCATED to recognize the lie.

Sigh – I could go on – but I’m preaching to the choir. The shrinking choir, but the choir none the less.

http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/anichris252.gif I need to decorate – it makes me feel better http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/4.gifhttp://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/anichris423.gif

I am the choir, but I don’t always spell things out, so thanks!

And yes, decorating makes me feel better, too. Prolly why I’m so depressed.

      What Patti said!

Patti, why aren’t you shouting this from the rooftops for all to hear?

I know…the selective deafness in this country is blinding (see what I did there?)

For the most part, California is a pretty conservative state. It just doesn’t look that way electorally. And of course, we have Hollywood here, which makes the rest of us seem suspect.
