The list of what I’m thankful for seems endless; it would be pointless to try to name them all. But here’s one: you.
If you’re reading this, you make us a community, create a comfort zone. Some of you have become good friends; family, even. So when I’m counting my many blessings, you are always near the top of my list. Thank you!
Having turkey today? I’m making baked potatoes and roasting chicken. But we did pick up a pumpkin pie yesterday, so there’s some tradition…

Happy Thanksgiving, Pam. Love the cartoon.
Happy Thanksgiving, Folly!
Back atcha! I’m thankful for all those I count as family that aren’t blood relatives!
HTGD to you and Mike!
Aww, thanks Erinyes!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Our turkey was good, the pies were GREAT. We have much to be thankful for… beyond pie. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it. Sometimes it feels dark. But we do and it’s good we have days like these to reflect.
My best to y’all in Miami.
You’re absolutely right; some days feel dark. Not yesterday, though.
Went up to Plano to our daughter’s. Her and her twin brother, five of the grandkids, Dean’s parents, assorted others. Good food, warm weather, short prayer. And since everyone but us is on some kind of diet I came home with a mountain of leftovers! I may never button my trousers again.
Did you know that Bingo T. Pug and CAP like turkey?

Sounds wonderful!! Lots of good food and family; exactly what Thanksgiving is supposed to be!
My roast chicken breasts were juicy, the crispy skin on ‘em delicious [yes, the skin gets its own category], the taters awesome, pie very good. Broccoli was fine.
I’m GLAD we don’t have leftovers! Except for the pah.
Turkey hugs to Bingo and CAP!

Love the cartoon and hope you wake up this morning filling full and happy.
Thanks, VW!
Day was great; quiet here too, but that was nice! Gave us plenty of time to count our blessings.
LOL at the cartoon. I’d whisper something similar to my husband just as we were walking into church…
I believe that!
The funny thing is, the Puritans were actually quite lusty. Kids would spend the night in bed while they were courting and, were the bundling unacceptable to either, the courtship was over. Newlyweds had, in those days, managed some small miracles. Gestation for the first babies was often only five months or so, and my! Those preemies were big and healthy.
The name ‘Puritan’ gives us such a bleak impression, but what else was there to do, but work and play? And no television or computers!
All my love to you and Mike, the furry kids, and the rest of the family!
Love you, Joanie!
