Still Hanging Around

Seeking the Sun…

Someone asked after Bree. She’s fine. Caught her like this yesterday after she fell asleep in a watchful position.

Breagha the Collie

She’ll be SIX in a couple of weeks! SIX and already her little punkin head is turning white… even behind her ears! Remember the hell she put us through for the first year or so? Seems like so long ago… and yesterday.

Ah, well. Thought I was supposed to become maudlin over my own birthdays, not the dogs. But anything is better than incessantly worrying over the election!

Our beloved Golden Retriever is also showing more and more white on her face…she’s the only damn creature in this house that gives unconditional love. Best damn dog ever.

And regarding the election??? I’m not even turning on the tv or radio on that day. Just let me wake up to good news on the 7th.

Me too, Mrs. Who. I’m over the wind-up, let’s get on with celebrating our new president!

The white is.. unsettling. Not good.

Damn, seems like yesterday she was a young girl full of the devil, just like Bree!

Well, there’s a lot of life in the girls yet! http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/Emotesnoopy.gif

Lance will be 8 in December.

Since he was 5 his whole nose was white, now his whole head it white and his neck is pretty much white. The white is starting down his back and the underside of his tail is all white.

Even Lola, who is 3, her nose has lots of white. Italian Greyhounds grey early.

Yay! There’s my Bree! Thank you thank you thank you!

She’s so beautiful. And I bet she’s just hitting her stride in trouble making. You just don’t see it because of the other two. (She’s learned how to shift blame)

Meh, you young pups…the Boo Hahn will be 10 in February and has a lovely white mustache and beard. Event the 5 (soon to be 6) year old Darla is matching her big Sister in the white hair department. I’ve spotted a couple of white hairs by her eyebrows and burried here and there in her coat. When you’ve got a black dog, it’s a bit easier and a challenge to find the white hairs.

But with a younger sister around to keep her hoping, she’s not acting like an old lady yet…not that we’d let her. One of the reasons why I call all dogs puppies, no matter how much white they may or may not have. Like Audrey Hepburn said (I paraphrase), if you think beautiful thoughts and hear beautiful words, you’ll be beautiful. So I tell Boo & Darla how beautiful they are and how loved they are constantly…same goes for the Kiddo too!

..as opposed to my hanging around her neck, crying? Yes, I see how that might be better…

Nah, I do the same thing, ask Mike. They’re the best girls ever!! http://pamibe.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/Emotesnoopy.gif
