We went fishing at Hillsborough Inlet again today.
Most are embiggenable.
When the sun started setting, everything changed. I’ve never seen the water that color.
I may get homesick for Texas, but this place does have its compensations…

The Keys are wonderful!
Except for that whole pesky “costs too damn much to live here” thing.
Oh, hell yeah. We don’t have that problem as much as y’all do, but it’s quite a bit more expensive than a lot of other places.
Paradise don’t come cheap.
Well, I have my inexpensive paradise right here, a half mile off the lake by the trail the kids walk or a mile and a half by the string of potholes lightly connected by asphalt that we laughingly call a road.
Hell, as long as I don’t look out the window I could be on Maui.
Or the pirate coast of Jamaica.
Or the cavalry country of the great plains!
Or jet setting around the world!
Then I look out the window and here I am on the Poorfarm with the dogs.
Hey, as long as we’re living in Fantasy Land, I may as well imagine myself in the hill country, surrounded by bluebonnets…
A lighthouse! I love lighthouses. Every where we have been on vacation that has lighthouses we see them all. I of course with my huge fear of heights stay on the ground while hubby ventures to the top and looks down at me and waves.
Did you know Michigan coastline has the most lighthouses of any state!
247 at lighthouses peak, but now about 90 are still around and working.

the blue never looks as good in my photos as it does shimmering before me. I try though!
