Fishing

We went fishing at Hillsborough Inlet last night. And when I say ‘we’, I mean Mike fished and I stood awkwardly watching him for five full minutes until beating a trail back to the truck to watch TV. It was a cool night and the wind made it even cooler… so I punked out. No excuses!

The fish, I think snook, were ‘running’ and that was very cool because those things have to be monsters. Every once in a while one would come flying up and out of the water and the sound they made when slamming back into the black made me think they had to be as big as Miz Liz.

All in all, I had fun.

Oh, incidentally… the iPhone doesn’t take all that good a picture at night. Should have taken my camera. Doubtful you can even tell that these are pics of the inlet, but there ya go. Had to post ‘em anyway.

I “suffered” temps under 70 yesterday, too. I’d quickly find the sun and warm myself every 30 minutes. All I needed to complete the picture was scalier skin and a rock and I would’ve been a perfect lizard impersonator.

I’m not laughing at your reaction to the weather. If I can’t wear sandals, it’s too damn cold. And when it drops to the 60s here, the kids come to school bundled up better than Ralphie’s little brother in ‘A Christmas Story’. Heh.

You should see all the snowbirds down here wearing shorts and t-shirts… while the natives are shivering and wearing half their wardrobe!

My pard Steve is finally coming out to fix the brakes in the asexual grandparent mobile, which sat do long the battery was too low to start. So I put the charger on it and went out shortly after sunrise to disconnect it and start it. I just threw a pair of jeans on and went out in my tank top and flip flops. BRRR! And the dew got my feet all wet. Of course Bingo T. Pug goes out at sunrise and comes in, demands a lap with cold wet paws.

I was just mopping up the slaughterhouse floor where the dogs were chewing on their bones…

    Ya’ll are a bunch of sissy’s …

We’ve been in the mid 50′s here and go outside without jackets saying how warm it is outside.

The next couple days it’s suppose to be mid-60′s, might just open the windows.

It’s funny, but when we visited Colorado/North New Mexico, the cold didn’t feel cold. Snow on the ground, and we were walking around without coats. So, cold must feel different based on… humidity?

Parka, I were one everyday at work year around due to the air conditioners being below 70 all the time – and yes, the humidity does make the difference between hot & cold
