Boeing Co said on Wednesday it will restructure its defense, space and security business and cut 30 percent of management jobs from 2010 levels as part of a broad cost-cutting drive.

Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee’s call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade.

China appears to be within two years of deploying submarine-launched nuclear weapons, adding a new leg to its nuclear arsenal that should lead to arms-reduction talks, a draft report by a congressionally mandated U.S. commission says.

Tip of the iceberg; each story is on the front page of Reuters today. You may have gotten your free obama phone or next welfare check, but you just cost us everything.

we have been flying our flags upside down in distress, it is time to just take them down, this country is officialy gone – it is what it is and we cannot change it – be safe and good luck

With state – federal – social security – sales – property – gas – and all the other taxes that are snuck past us, my family already pays more than 50% of our income in taxes. THAT is why I don’t have a job outside my home, there is no point. And we are not wealthy. We’ve already had to take drastic steps to keep a roof over our eldest child’s head. Steps which basically ate our planning for retirement. And we are not wealthy. Yet the blood suckers want more – Boehner has already, within hours, gone total squish.

I think Bill’s color white is appropriate – I think we are supposed to run it up a pole and wave it.

Unemployment is about to sky rocket. Hold on to your everything, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. I’d say batten down the hatches and pull in to all that is most important. But we’ve already all done that just to survive the last for years! Now they want the hatches too.

I just can’t believe we’ve come to this place in my lifetime. My kids will never live in the country I grew up in – my poor son is fully aware of what has happened to his future. My other three are already trying to live in the future the selfish have demanded.

Sigh – upside down flag emote? white flag emote? tears emote?

yup – and that was what i was referring to. sort of a reflection of good ol’ “Me”s post up there. Stick a fork in us, we are done.

of course we’ll continue to fight – but really, we’ve been fighting this for decades and we steadily seem to lose ground.

it’s hard to fight Santa Claus, if you know what I mean.

Yep, it’s hard to fight FREE STUFF. Saw that on twitter election night… i.e., ‘FREE STUFF is winning’… kinda stuck with me…

You forgot the 25% plus to insurance company’s leaving you a net of less than 25% to live on –
Also in reference to healthcare, during a company meeting the other day, one of the topics was the training of doctors and hospitals to start calling Hospice instead of 911 to get cancer etc.. Patients on pain control sooner instead of life saving treatment – I will not go into details as to why, other than cost savings for guess who?

It will be a matter of days, weeks or months before EPA declares lead or jacketed lead bullets verboten. Enjoy your AC because when the coal fired plants are shut down there will simply not be enough electric currant to power any homes but Algores and other big lefties. The rest of us? Not so much.

Meat prices are already skyrocketing due to drouth and the fact that corn is being converted to alcohol for fuel. EPA is attacking pig raisers and beef feedlots.

And the damned fool Yankees are voting for the very people who left them in the lurch after Sandy. That should not be a surprise, though. Detroit votes Donk.

The last best hope on Earth, turned into Compton. Damn them.

Pratt & Whitney’s Rocketdyne division was recently sold to a company called Gen-Corp. The sale is not final. A lay off was held the day after elections for those employees that were not needed from the new sale. It could have been done when it was determined they weren’t needed… but it was done the day after the election.

And… as if Palm Beach County is not enough of an f’ing mess. The hanging chad fiasco wasn’t enough. Allen West is fighting for his election now. I don’t know if you’ve heard about it… it’s a dang mess.

True dat, Erinyes. I just need a vacation. I’m done with politickin’ for a good looooooong time.

The only positive I can take from this election is that this is nobama’s final term. We shan’t be subjected to his bullshit any longer after it’s over.

        1. Da Goddess

Well, he IS a Chicago politician…

But there are too many people who would revolt in a big way if they tried to change the rules for a third term.

We’re going to have to be super vigilant this never happens.

          1. Pam Post author

Less than half the country wanted the other guy. Even if we voted on an amendment to make a third term possible, do you really think we’d win?
