Love the dragonfly! I have a shirt that is tye-dyed in light greens and yellows, and dragonflies love it! I can stand by the flower bed and hold out my hand and they land there and their big eyes move crazily looking at the shirt.

That is so cool! This one was funny, he wasn’t afraid of me and when I went back outside later and stood in that spot, he came back like he was waiting for me to take another picture… ;)

Love dragonflies. Have had them land on me multiple times. Never been stung… didn’t know they had a stinger. Do know they eat mosquitoes and that makes me a happy person!

We must have loads of mosquitoes because it looks like a dragonfly convention in the back yard… ;)

In folklore, dragonflies were supposed to use their tails like a needle and sew mouths shut. Would that could happen to some people I know…

I think the bats zooming past the head at night after the skeeters are neat – I think they get closer than a half inch

I read that superstitious folks called Dragonflies “Devil’s Darning Needles”.

I conducted a semi-scientific experiment yesterday. I did not get on line at all, never came into the room with my computer and handloading gear. I did not die. Did shake and sweat, though. Like the first week I’d quit drinking.
