Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Not much going on here; had my yearly physical last week and the doctor bumped my meds up. Yahoo.
And so we turn to the plants. This coleus grows like a weed down here and just like a weed if you drop some of it on the ground, it roots in that place. Crazy! This variety is Dusky Trailing Prince.

Coleus: Dusky Trailing Prince

This strain of coleus is called Elephant Song but it’s not nearly as prolific as its cousin and apparently will not root just anywhere.

But surprise: it’s blooming! The blooms seem to form a charming vignette of tiny birds sipping nectar.
Of course, from this vantage point it’s a mess.

Sweetsop, one of over a dozen on the tree. I’ll have to try it this year.

I’ve had this on my desktop for a week… I’d like to find the variety my doctor has planted in front of her office; they’re massive, about 10 feet tall and looking like they’d be right at home in a primeval jungle.
