It’s being reported that Davy has died of a heart attack here in Florida.
I was 10 when the Monkees hit television and of course I loved them… except the tall one. Along with Donny Osmond and Bobby Sherman and…. so many names most people wouldn’t recognize in 2012… They were the Biebers of their day.
One of my favorite performances of his is the cameo on the Brady Bunch Movie in ’95…
Rest in Peace, Davy.

Man, oh, man… I loves me some Monkees. They just make me happy.
Peter was always my favorite. He was just so adorably goofy… well, his character was, anyway. Apparently he was a musical genius.
Davy Jones performed at my favorite little theater in St. Charles pretty often. I’m sorry now that I never saw him.
