Angel, part II

February 9, 2012

Angel

Back on November 21st I posted that my sister-in-law had adopted a little Corgi girl in need of a home.

Well, she’ll be joining our family down here in south Florida in a couple of weeks. We’re delighted, of course, and look forward to many happy years with her!

What happened to my plan to wait until we actually had her to tell you? Too excited, I guess…

    Squeeeeeee!!!!!! New doggies rock!!!!

How will your current crew take to a newcomer? Groo’s still not overly thrilled with the addition of Shayla… I think he’s still mourning for Sloane, and having a puppy constantly bugging him isn’t his first choice of how he’d like to spend his days.

But, they’ve started wrestling around and playing more, so he’s coming around.

    I hope.

That’s the way Zoe was when we got Bree; she was mourning Tess and never accepted the interloper. I hope Groo and Shayla become best buds!

Bree won’t be a problem; she’s pretty easy. Daisy… we’re hoping the fact that Angel is her size and slightly younger will help their integration. Angel is 17 months and Daisy about 3 years now… still young enough, I think, to accept change.

I’m going to walk them together, Dog Whisperer style, before bringing Angel into the house, so they know they’re a pack. Cross your fingers! :)
