‘Only Party’ tag shamelessly filched from Joan. I’ve been thinking about what she wrote all morning, even while moving through the aisles at Publix.
A snippet:
But I think now we have a de facto Only Party. It is comprised of those who will not allow money out of their circle of influence. The wet dream of the Progressives has been to set the have-nots against the haves under the guise of fairness. The dirty secret behind that dream is that the Proggies are panting for the opportunity to be the haves. And for you to be the have-not.
The RNC has told all of us we cannot have Newt (or Cain. Or Palin. Or West.) We have told the RNC they cannot have Mitt. The impasse has drawn a stark contrast that even a blind man can discern. It’s not about being Republican. It’s not about hanging together or separately. Really, when you’re already screwed what’s a few feet of rope and a short drop?
Then I heard about conservative Congressman Allen West’s district being redrawn into oblivion…. Not by Democrats, but the enemy within: the establishment Republicans.
Only Party? There’s obviously little difference between the two behemoths. If the Republicans are cannibalizing themselves, should we fear or encourage a third party candidate?
I nominate Allen West.
Updated to add Reaganite Republican’s declaration of war!
There’s much more; be sure to read the entire article.
I’m not voting for Mitt. Period. As RR writes, “anybody but Obama” is just not enough anymore.

I will write in Newt Gingrich. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ROMNEY.
30. January 2012 at 6:09 pm
Makes at least two of us.
30. January 2012 at 6:16 pm
I also will do the same thing – Wednesday I must seek out where I can remove the R from my voters registration – this is the third election in a row this party has stuck me with people I do not want – I will not play this game anymore – I will play a new game to beat them both

Jane, get me off this crazy thing!
30. January 2012 at 8:35 pm
Just fill out a new voter registration form and put “No Party”.

Thanks, Folly!

Jetsons reference FTW!!
Thanks, Pam. It’s a determined mood out there: I will NOT vote for Romney. Period.

Got it in one!

I figure I’ll be dead before the Tea Party comes into its own as a legitimate alternative party but maybe there’s hope for future generations of Americans…
1. February 2012 at 7:55 am
I’d like to hope so… pray it will be so…
1. February 2012 at 7:45 am
I’d write in West before I’d write in Newt.
1. February 2012 at 7:58 am
If West were running I’d be canvassing for him door to door… but alas, he’s got to run for re-election in a district not his own.
I voted for conservatism yesterday. The fact that most Republicans in Florida want four more years of Obama’s socialism… unfettered this next time… well, that’s their -and our- problem.
1. February 2012 at 5:38 pm
hey! you voted! my faith is restored
1. February 2012 at 5:39 pm
Of course I voted! You didn’t really think I joined the Apathy party, did you? I was simply… frustrated.
