The Communist Chinese are building an impressive Navy…
China has the world’s second-largest naval service, after only the United States.
Rather than purchase warships across the board, it is developing niche capacities in sub-surface warfare and missile technology designed to hit moving targets at sea.
At some point, the U.S. Navy is likely to be denied unimpeded access to the waters off East Asia…
…while obama dismantles our military.
Many hundreds of millions in military cuts means that not only will our dainty bits be exposed but also that people lose their jobs. Not ordinary people, but those who have pledged to give their lives for their country. How does the obama administration reward such loyalty and bravery? They cut not with surgical precision, taking people’s lives into account. They slash and burn with extreme prejudice:

One of the best ways to destroy American military capabilities would be to convince career military personnel — both officers and enlisted — that their commitment to service will not be rewarded with the retirement benefits they have earned by their faithful obedience to orders, no matter the personal cost or risks they endure. The Obama administration seems to be ready to destroy the belief that service will be rewarded as faithfully as duty was performed, one step at a time.
The latest step in that direction is the announcement that 157 Air Force majors will be terminated prior to retirement, without the opportunity to complete the 20 full years of service necessary to qualify for retirement pay. Caroline May of the Daily Caller writes:
The Chapman University of Military Law and its associated AMVETS Legal Clinic are blowing the whistle on what they say is an injustice set to be perpetrated on 157 Air Force majors on the last day of November.
“The Obama administration has ordered massive reductions in forces, resulting in many officers who are near?retirement?being involuntarily separated without retirement or medical benefits,” explained institute director Maj. Kyndra Rotunda.
The Department of Defense specifies that service members within six years of retirement normally would be retained and allowed to retire on time with benefits,?unless extenuating circumstances exist such as disciplinary issues.
According to lawyers at Chapman and the AMVETS Legal Clinic, the Air Force has deviated from the six-year protection “without any legal authority.”

Obama the destroyer. He hates us. He really, really hates us….

Oh, and don’t forget the Keystone XL pipeline that Obama declined to support. Not only dooming the prospect of hundreds of potential jobs, but giving China the opportunity to buy all that Canadian oil so they have the resources necessary to upgrade their weapons and challenge us anywhere in the world they choose.
I just hope that whatever contender that emerges to run against The Great O-Hole has the stones to take off the gloves and throw this stuff and everything else wrong in his face rather than try to play nice. We simply cannot afford another four years under this clown.

We cannot, no. Another term and he’d try for our weapons. He wouldn’t get them, but the ensuing war would tear us apart.
Newt wouldn’t hesitate to bring it to O’bummer. Not at all and that’s one of the things I like about him.

If he is not defeated, America is defeated and gone – there will be no chance for her to recover – even if there is another civil war, the Islamist or China will try to step in while we are weak and attempt to take control – I do not know how long we can hold them off with bows & arrows – everyone needs to buy a good pellet gun with scope and cases of high quality hunting pellets – you can hunt in the woods for food without making a sound or being detected -

That’s what China is gearing up for… they already own us, lock stock and barrel…

Yep, this’ll be us in the new Obamanation:

The Carter Administration, Part Deux. This election cannot come soon enough.

On a happier note, Barney Frank retired.

That really is something to celebrate!

We will still support him and all his tricks till he dies -his retirement only means he will no longer vote in the House against up again, nothing more, nothing less

China can build the ships. It still takes decades to build a navy. Fist you must build ships, then you must man them. After manning them you must train them. Then you must weed out the weak sisters, put new folks in to replace the ones you weed out.
Then you must train the crews of those ships to work together, it takes a helluva lot of training to transfer supplies from a supply ship to a Destroyer, much less an Aircraft Carrier.
No, if we can kick Obama to the curb next January, we’ll be able to recover.

They are not building them – they are buying them already built & tested – the kids there are raised to obey from birth which is a stronger indoctrination then the Libs do to our kids – they have so many to chose from that if they loose half of them in accidents it would not be noticed – as for training them, we give our recruits 8 weeks basic training then put them on the front line or on the helm of the ship – to transfer something a Cheif who should have done it before(not always the case) tells the seaman & Helmsman what to do – I have done it on a Submarine to a Tender in North Atlantic in 15 foot seas with zero training – it was all OJT

*sigh*
I remember being in the Navy during the glory days of the Cold War when the told us the goal was to have 600 ships.
It’s a little over 400 now.

Regardless of the number of ships I think it’s pretty ratty to dump trained personnel like they’re garbage.
Almost none of the mothball fleet survives, though that is probably neither here nor there.
