Absolutely yup – we let are education system be taken over by the wrong people and some of us failed are kids by not correcting it when we first noticed

  2. Erinyes Says:

I take issue with his description of the central tenet of Judaism being that we have laws to adhere to or not vs. Christianity where virtue resides “within:.

Judaism teaches righteousness as a way of life and unlike with some religions that concentrate on the afterlife, righteousness towards one’s fellow human beings is important NOW, and not for a reward in the afterlife.

Sorry my reply took so long; I wanted to watch it again and then forgot… well, you know what I mean.

Maybe he is ignorant of Judaism, maybe he was trying to make a point, I don’t know… but if virtue is not ‘within’, where the hell is it? Neither Jews nor Christians are rigidly controlled, as muslims are… we are all free to either be virtuous or not.
Jews and Christians both adhere to the laws; the commandments.

      I just don’t know.

      • Erinyes Says:

Well, you know I like Bill Whittle. I just thought his remark was off. It virtually negates the concept and practice of righteousness in Judaism.

The importance of righteousness in Judaism can’t be understated:

          Only 36?

“As a mystical concept, the number 36 is even more intriguing. It is said that at all times there are 36 special people in the world, and that were it not for them, all of them, if even one of them was missing, the world would come to an end.

          ””’
Since nobody knows who the Lamedvavniks are, not even themselves, every Jew should act as if he or she might be one of them; i.e., lead a holy and humble life and pray for the sake of fellow human beings”

Before I say something stupid, all I’ll say is this: I know absolutely nothing about Judaism except the fact that we have a common deity.

y’all do things your way, we do them ours, but it’s all good.

a little off the topic – I think I’m finally done with Cain :( His lawyer’s statement pretty much tells me what I need to know.

    Col. West! We NEED you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Pam Says:

I haven’t heard it, but I knew he was done last week when his numbers went to single digits. It was a good idea, sorta kinda.

I’m now on the Newt bandwagon and HE has mentioned West and Rubio both as potential running mates!! I’m very pleased with that… :D

  4. me Says:

I did not hear the Lawyer yet, but yes, Cain is done – the left has scored another Kill in this game of capture the USA

  5. patti Says:

    i don’t trust newt. don’t trust perry. don’t trust romney….

    • Pam Says:

Didn’t say I trusted him… don’t trust any of them as far as I can throw ‘em. But obama must go…

      • patti Says:

well that goes without saying ;) but as I’ve said before, would be nice to be able to vote for someone rather than against someone. at this point it would be nice to know, should we actually be able to give Obummer the boot – and that is by no means a given – that we’ve elected someone who will actually reverse the bamster’s mess and make some positive steps forward. hope is withering. maybe i need to go for a ride on the lovely Miss Rosalie- WAIT! what’s that? falling from the sky? OMG it is WHITE! erg.

        • Pam Says:

Well, there goes your ride… maybe. I’ve never ridden in snow, but I hear people do it. ;)

Politics used to be a fun sport, but now that it’s life and death, it ain’t no fun any more… :(

          • patti Says:

There was a time when riding in snow would have been fun, but my bones are too old for that now. Fortunately this was only the sort of snow that looks nice falling but melts as soon as it hits the ground. Still too wet and cold for this old lady to heave into the saddle though. Tomorrow is another day :D

Life and death yes. And not one smidge less. Wish more of America would wake up and smell the rotten.

            • Pam Says:

Don’t blame you at all; I’d be huddled ‘neath the goose down! :D

The number of people who don’t even know there’s an upcoming election is staggering. What they don’t know can hurt them…

  6. me Says:

maybe 5% of the people I come in contact with have an idea what is going on and half of them have it backwards – the lack of public information scares me – if you only listen to the car radio & TV you will have no idea – I see & hear nothing in the news other then how sweet Debbie is and such a wonderful job she is doing for us – and the local paper talks about nothing but fatal accidents & crooked Cops
