Garden

Meet Joe. He’s the reformed obamaite/gardener in the hood. The man sticks stuff in the ground and it grows. It’s like a dang miracle. He also brings cuttings over for me, which usually die. But he perseveres, and brings more. Just the other day he quietly walked over and planted cuttings of something and then left without even letting us know he’d been here.

Arthur went over to help Joe with his garage door opener today and I tagged along… and of course brought a camera. The Canon doesn’t have a macro lens, but the little Fuji performed pretty well, especially since I just point and shot, half blinded by the sun.

The man, the myth... Joe.

Oh, yeah. These are the tip of the iceberg.

He plucked a cactus leaf and started eating it.

Very talented thumb – send him my way please! We *heart* Joe! Another reformer? Gene Simmons! Has gone on record saying he regrets voting for the man. Love it!

        Oh yeah, quote:
In 2010, Simmons said he regretted voting for Barack Obama and criticized the 2009 health care reforms. Following Obama’s 2011 Mideast speech, in which the President called on Israel and the Palestinians to negotiate a settlement “based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps,” Simmons told CNBC that Obama was gravely misguided. “If you have never been to the moon , you can’t issue policy about the moon . For the president to be sitting in Washington D.C. and saying, ‘Go back to your ’67 borders in Israel’ – how about you live there and try to defend an indefensible border – nine miles wide?” Simmons also accused the United Nations of being “the most pathetic body on the face of the earth.”

Loving me some Gene more and more!

I love the flowers. I am in desperate need of a garden. Oh and kudos to Joe for seeing the light. I saw the Gene Simmons interview where he said that and I laughed my ass off.
