Ouch

This, as Allahpundit puts it, is a video knee to the groin.

[box]I’m trying to think: Is there any other actor in Hollywood whose scorn would sting more than this guy’s? Being demagogued by a halfwit celebrity is normally a badge of honor — just ask the boss emeritus — but … I really like Morgan Freeman, notwithstanding his alleged freaky-deakiness. I don’t know what’s more disappointing, his paint-by-numbers racial reductionism or the fact that his argument about special conservative animus towards Obama vis-a-vis Bill Clinton is so stupid that even Piers Morgan feels obliged to rebut it. [/box]

Really? We hear this sort of crap -and worse- from Malik Shabazz, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and even Rep. Cleaver, the head of the Congressional Black Caucus. We get it from neighbors and friends.. and family. But Morgan Freeman? I thought he was better than that, more thoughtful, more logical.

And now he’s just ruined every role he ever played to exquisite perfection… for me, at least. Guess I shouldn’t have been surprised, but this felt personal.

It’s alway disappointing when we find out someone we admire has polar opposite viewpoints. It does feel personal in that it seems like they’ve let us down. “Real” people are hard enough to get to know, much less a celebrity with handlers.

Did you see the article about Kim Delaney being escorted off stage because she was totally blowing her speech? The teleprompter was broken and she was trying to fake it. Indicates to me how sincere these people are – someone else writes what they’re to say and they just read it.

I guess if we watch them long enough on screen, we can feel as if we know them in some way.

I didn’t see that about Kim Delaney. Damn… I’ll have to look for the vid of that… ;)

If we are all so damned racist, just how the Hell did man get rich? The man has built no factories, he hasn’t found and dug a gold mine. He’s acted. Us damned racists have paid cash money to see him on screen. Why? Because we’re racists and hope to see real blood?

What is wrong with these people?

God, I wish I knew, Peter. It hurts to know they think like this… it’s the 21st century; why do they hold onto such hate? :(

Go back to banging your step-granddaughter. How dare this asswipe state that we aren’t as decent as those who support Obama.

Of all the people. Morgan Freeman, we thought you were above and better than that. Now you just stooped down to the level of the rest of the clueless moonbat Hollywood celebrities. Shame on you.

    Depressing. :(

There ya go! I was watching excerpts of that debate on YouTube last night… still like Herman! But Ron Paul gives me the creeps.

I am really sick and tired of being called a racist just because I do not support some thug that bought and bullied his way into a job so he can destroy America – Morgan Freeman, I have watched many a move just because you were in it and I liked and respected you – You are still a great actor but I cannot like or respect you for attacking me – This man, Obama has done more to divide this country then any other person or thing in history – These Hollywood nuts have a rite to their opinion, I served to allow it but if Obama gets another term, they will feel the pain we do since we will not be able to buy or watch their movies, there will be no more royalties – Stop drinking the koolaid and wake up folks – By the way, he is as African American as a Cuban – I am Irish, Danish, Slovak, & Russian, does that mean I can claim to be only one of them? -

As a Jewish-Ameican, I demand that people stop being racist and elect a JEW for president. It’s long past due time. You’re all a bunch of fucking RAAAAAAAAACITS until that happens and you support EVERYTHING he or she does.
