We had a hell of a storm yesterday. Two tornadoes touched down here, causing damage to ‘scores’ of homes. We were one of the lucky, thank God.
When it gets so dark the streetlights come on, you know something bad is just around the corner.

I chased off an ugly old drake who was stealing food and trying to strangle the babies. Literally! He’d pick them up by the neck in his beak and shake them. After that, the dogs thought it was open season on all the ducks. Especially Daisy.

Mom didn't appreciate Daisy's overtures

Loved Quality’s comment! And glad you made it through this mess… I see Emily is coming close to us again. We need the rain! Though I could do without the tornadoes and wind.

Avoiding *most* of the news is probably good for your blood pressure and digestion.
Still, it’s a good idea to check the weather a couple of times a day.

Happy Birthday to a wonderful friend, a talented photo-taker type person, a proud puppy Momma, an even prouder Grand-Momma and duckling protector! You’re far more wonderful than mere words can express…and we appreciate you, lots!
So make it a great day!
Now that the mush is out of the way…love the photos, especially how sharp you got on those fuzzy heads. Drake be warned, leave dem babies alone or Daisy can have a talk with Drake!

Happy Late Birthday! You and VW SHARE a birthday? Somehow this should make it easier for me to remember…
BTW, how did I not hear of the tornadoes? I don’t live that far away…

Tonie down in Miami didn’t hear about them, either. Strange what makes local news and what doesn’t…! It was all over Sun-Sentinel, but of course that’s a Broward paper.
And thanks!
