Like Jane Goodall, just without the apes

Garden

I like monkeys about as much as clowns, so I’ll stick to the ducklings. And we’ll make a deal: you can call my behavior ‘disturbing’ when I don feathers and eat seed for dinner and not before.

This is… nurturing my soul. Yeah, that’s it. Politics destroys one’s soul and God, through nature, helps restore it.

As David wrote:

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Taken early this morning, feeding time here at the duck ranch. Their wings are coming in and I caught them fighting with each other and scratching their beaks.

Click to embiggen the first two. If you want. No pressure.

Are you AWOL on politics? I love the duckies, though.

Pretty much, sorry. I can’t even look right now. I’ll be back to it soon enough, but sometimes just need to crawl inside myself… and take pictures of ducklings… ;)

The pictures are amazing! Are you in a duck blind like 4 inches from them? The clarity of the picture is just wonderful. You have a gift for photo picture taking!

Love those little fuzzy heads…especially the one where it’s tipping over *WWWHHHHOOOOOAAAAAAA* ‘Dimmit, I hate gravity!’

    • Pam Says:

I love the tipping one as well!

It’s not me, it’s the new camera with the 75-300 lens! That thing rocks! :woot:

      • Lee Ann Says:

You just want to love ‘em and hug ‘em til their little heads pop. (Cue Bugs Bunny and the Abomindable Snowman, “I will love him and hug him and pet him and call him George!” to Daffy Duck.)

I know we can’t hug em *that* tight, but oh the urge is there. Well just short of popping their heads.
        :woot:

    I GOT IT!

    Pam’s the Duck Whisperer!
 :woot:  :nana: :may:

  5. Pam Says:

Oh, no! The Duck Whisperer!

I used to have pet ducks. I miss my ducklings. Everyone should shower with a duck at least once in their life. Funny creatures.

    Shit machines, though.

    • Pam Says:

Yes, they sure are. Too bad they can’t be trained to a litter box… ;)

      • Lee Ann Says:

You know how you teach a monkey to ride a bike? Nail his feet to the pedals. Same for a duck and a liter box.

(For those concerned, no actual animals were injured in the above joke. I am one of the biggest soft touches when it comes to critters…at least cute critters.) :hide:
