    A condo we rented had a little lake with ducks…and ducklings at one time. I got to where I could mimic their talking and call them to me (which Momma wasn’t real thrilled with) and would feed them bread, crackers, etc. I switched to oats to fatten them up a bit and got them to actually eat out of my hand. Then they knew me by sight, which I thought was adorable.

    Until the day they started showing up at our door and pecking at the door for me to come out and feed them. It was as if Momma was standing there saying, “Okay, YOU deal with them now.” Lesson learned, but they’re so stinkin’ cute, you just want smoosh ‘em with lurve. Messy but cute!
