The Problem With The TSA…

has been clear from the start. They are completely and totally inept.

And we have numbfucks like Norman Minetta and his asinine comparisons to thank for it:

Not to try to single out young males with these characteristics for extra attention — more extensive searches and questioning — is folly. It ignores, among other things, the successful Israeli experience securing El Al from attacks.

But adopting something along the lines of the Israeli system would require a tough-mindedness, and instead of tough-mindedness, we have Norm Mineta. On the issue of profiling, Mineta’s ignorance appears to be nearly invincible.

Mineta’s Japanese-American family was interned during World War II. He implies at every opportunity that by standing in the way of ethnic profiling, he is preventing a similar enormity today. “A very basic foundation to all of our work,” he says, “is to make sure that racial profiling is not part of it.”

Instead of all the bullshit we are subjected to now post-9/11, we should have taken a cue from the Israelis and El Al right from the start. But what the fuck do they know?

Personally, I think letting the TSA grope and probe the First Family is a splendid idea.

Hahaha, love the coloring book. We aren’t flying anywhere. I’ll drive, take a train, bus or boat. -Folly

We DO need a tough-mindedness… but the pussies in this country are too wrapped up in political correctness to give a shit.

have you seen the poor man with the ostomy bag yet? gah!!!

By NOT profiling, you’re giving all the crackpots that want to do us harm a clear and brightly illuminated way to do it you dumbfucks!

Crimeny…I’m writing a letter to Amtrak today begging them to begin to make commuter and passenger cars again. Here’s where the american railway can once again unite the country from one end to the other. I’d rather take a casual train and see the countryside before hoping on a Greyhound bus with Smelly Jim and his dancing toes before I’ll subject myself or anyone else in my family to the feel-good hands of the TSA.

Idiocracy is spelled TSA and Napolitano. :pirate:

Did Janet make a ruling on muslim women yet? I’m waiting for what is sure to be a massive pile of bullshit from the TSA on the subject…

Nothing is going to change until we can get the message across that profiling is common sense, not racism. And as long as idiots like Norm Minetta is in charge, that’ll never happen.

And I should be laughing at that pic you posted, but I’m finding it unsettling instead.

I don’t understand the reluctance to profile – if you’ve a tip about a blue eyed blond with C4 in his underpants, look for him! I wouldn’t be offended! Dayum! But it’s the politicians who are politically correct; most of America has no difficulty with profiling.

I intended that pic to be unsettling. It should be. How intensive a screening do TSA agents get to ensure that some aren’t pedophiles?

How would we know if they haven’t been arrested for it before? We won’t.

they want to do the same thing for buses and trains ya know….
