I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to hear three little words…! Apparently my flaming gallbladder of death is afflicted, which causes the low ejection rate. If it wasn’t the gallbladder it would have been something hideous and though prepared for the worst, I woulda kicked a little, believe me. Heh…
Next appointment on the 20th, to discuss said findings. I did ask the receptionist why the doc couldn’t just tell me what he wanted to say over the phone, but that’s not how he does things. Like other physicians, he’s already being squeezed by Congress’ latest healthcare fiasco, and you know what they say: shit rolls downhill…!
Thank you all for your prayers and concern; they all help, immeasurably. Love ya back.

I had my gallbladder removed almost thirty years ago and haven’t missed it at all. I will forever love my surgeon’s nurse who exclaimed, “You’re too skinny to have gallbladder problems,” when I went in for a post-op exam. She wouldn’t say that today…
Good to know, thanks for speaking out!
Can’t wait to have this sucker cut out.
Hey, I am sadly out of the loop here, and sorry to hear you’ve been sick!
Unlike Ms Martyr above, I totally fit the “Fair, Fat and Forty” stereotype when I had my gallbladder removed!
The surgery I had was easy as pie…they just sorta poke a hole by your belly button and suck that bad boy out. Only got a week off work, damn it!
Seriously, it’s a breeze….sending good vibes and hugs your way!
Thanks, MissTammy! I love hearing about how easy it’s all going to be!
I’m telling ya, get ‘em to slurp that thing out with a straw and be done with it!
That’s what I’m hoping for, Patti!
You already know what I think and what I think the doc should do. My fingers are crossed and prayers are being said!
As for easy, it is a relatively simple procedure, but it does involve your gut, so there will be pain and a higher infection risk. Just don’t let that deter you, m’kay? It’s worth it in the long run. (And yes, I have to be forthright about those things because otherwise you end up cursing everyone who said it’d be a breeze.)
I totally understand that it’s surgery among the organs and expect some discomfort, Joanie. Looking forward to taking it easy for a week and letting the man wait on me…
If I develop a temp you can be damn sure I’ll be in the E.R. Not taking any chances!
Thanks for caring enough to take the time and tell me the truth!
