I appreciate the sentiment, but I think their point would’ve been stronger if they had refrained from using photoshopped images (like rosie’s head on saddam’s torso).
funny, though. but that’s what’s gonna keep me from posting it up over on my humble little blog.
In defense of the Photoshopper – I believe they were trying to protect the viewer from visually-induced toxic shock, for to glimpse Rosie in all her unnatural glory is akin to and unbroken stare deep into the bowels of hell. If anyone should be pissed, it should be Saddam.
To be fair, I have seen a FEW hot libs, but they are invariably twenty-something campus activists who have only recently moved out of their pink-painted, unicorn-and-rainbow-decorated childhood bedrooms. Once they realize that life isn’t fair and actually gets better when you take responsibility for yourself instead of waiting for a parental or government teat to suckle, they either evolve socially and politically, or they grow bitter and ugly with resentment. At least that’s my theory!
Actually, that was a pic of Khalid Sheik Mohammed, not Saddam Hussein. I’m all about accuracy in journalism, even when it concerns photo-shopped pics of Rosie O’Dumbell.
Personally, I don’t see the issue with it. The woman made a parody of herself a LOOOOOOOOOONG time ago.
Your theory is real close to right, BR. The key to leftists is that every one of them is angry. Angry at “the system” that just isn’t fair!
Even a handsome feller like me can get pretty ugly when I am really angry. Fortunately I am not really angry very often or for very long. I also try pretty hard to keep my Linda Lou happy, she’s purtier that way and, at our age, we need all the help we can get!
Jana, it’s easy. Politics does not affect me much. Yes, it’s my country. Still, I think about politics a little, other things a lot. I write some about politics, more about other things.
Unlike the left, politics is not my religion. Nor is politics my family.
I remember Tamitha Freemen. Harvey says: “She’s got beautiful puppies”.
"Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them and their families in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us."

Really? Good for you. I’m working on a pretty solid 20 months of angry… and counting…
Hmmm, what happened almost 2 years ago?
