After reading the news this morning I inhaled enough advil to stroke a 16 hand plow horse. The Lying Nutsack currently occupying the White House is giving us the biggest headache of our lives.
Even mainstream media has caught a whiff of the truth. The Lying Nutsack claimed that health care costs would be significantly lower under his rule as first evah health care king- as in a 20% cut. Employers would save even more… which is true, by the way. They’ll probably drop health care totally, as the penalty for not offering it per employee is said to be only $800. That’s so much cheaper than carrying health coverage.
Lying Nutsack:
“You’ll be able to buy in, or a small business will be able to buy into this pool,” Obama said. “And that will lower rates, it’s estimated, by up to 14 to 20 percent over what you’re currently getting. That’s money out of pocket.”
“Your employer, it’s estimated, would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent,” said the president, “which means they could give you a raise.”
A White House press spokesman later said the president misspoke; he had meant to say annual premiums would drop by $3,000.
Buyers, beware: President Barack Obama says his health care overhaul will lower premiums by double digits, but check the fine print.
Premiums are likely to keep going up even if the health care bill passes, experts say. If cost controls work as advertised, annual increases would level off with time. But don’t look for a rollback. Instead, the main reason premiums would be more affordable is that new government tax credits would help cover the cost for millions of people.
The statistics Obama based his claims on come from two sources. In both cases, the caveats got left out.
A report for the Business Roundtable, an association of big company CEOs, was the source for the claim that employers could save $3,000 per worker on health care costs, the White House said.
Issued in November, the report looked generally at proposals that Democrats were considering to curb health care costs, concluding they had the potential to significantly reduce future increases.
But the analysis didn’t consider specific legislation, much less the final language being tweaked this week. It’s unclear to what degree the bill that the House is expected to vote on within days would reduce costs for employers.
An analysis by the Congressional Budget Office of earlier Senate legislation suggested savings could be fairly modest.
It found that large employers would see premium savings of at most 3 percent compared with what their costs would have been without the legislation. That would be more like a few hundred dollars instead of several thousand.
The claim that people buying coverage individually would save 14 percent to 20 percent comes from the same budget office report, prepared in November for Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind. But the presidential sound bite fails to convey the full picture.
The budget office concluded that premiums for people buying their own coverage would go up by an average of 10 percent to 13 percent, compared with the levels they’d reach without the legislation. That’s mainly because policies in the individual insurance market would provide more comprehensive benefits than they do today.
For most households, those added costs would be more than offset by the tax credits provided under the bill, and they would pay significantly less than they have to now.
The premium reduction of 14 percent to 20 percent that Obama cites would apply only to a portion of the people buying coverage on their own — those who decide they want to keep the skimpier kinds of policies available today.
How many iterations are there of the health care bill? How many times has it been fiddled with since November?
This is not about savings or insuring the uninsured. This is about government control. Period. And if they use Pelosi’s favored tool of the moment and simply ‘deem’ it done, they’d better get ready for a shitstorm. You know why she likes it? People wouldn’t have to vote:
After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate’s health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it.
Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would vote on a more popular package of fixes to the Senate bill; under the House rule for that vote, passage would signify that lawmakers “deem” the health-care bill to be passed.
The tactic — known as a “self-executing rule” or a “deem and pass” — has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the measure.
“It’s more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know,” the speaker said in a roundtable discussion with bloggers Monday. “But I like it,” she said, “because people don’t have to vote on the Senate bill.”
Queen Nancy is the same person who said that debate will begin on the bill after it’s passed.
Riiight.
EDITED to add this video of a Tea Partyer -’If she steps on the Constitution, try her for treason’. Awesome.

Does anyone know how this will really work? Your employer will drop your health care and pay the penalty- it is both legal and cheaper. Now the government will go after you to buy it from them since you are now uninsured. If you do not buy it out of your own pocket they will fine you the penalty for not having insurance – they are now collecting two penalties, yours and your employers which totals more than the insurance itself and the beauty of this is they provide absolutely nothing, since they are only collecting fines.
If you or your employer fail to pay the fines they have that covered also.
In the bill they are given power to monitor, access, and removed the fines directly from your checking account – You say you will just close the checking account, still no problem, they will just garnish your wages and take it out of your check before you get it – The IRS can do that now for money you owe them, the new provision lets them take it directly from your employers checking account if they decide not to cooperate.
End result is government gets paid from both you and your employer for providing nothing at all – Talk about Taxation without Representation – Read the fucking bill and get the shit scared about of you – This is no joking matter, it is a complete takeover just like Castro did to Cuba. Get ready to live with nothing and growing and raising your food like the people that gave us our freedom did because we will have no more freedom. And NO, I am not losing it, this is what I see in end of this chess match.
P.S. I am willing to bet EL Presidente Obama will not speak of any of these TRUE healthcare stories

Gotta tell you, all this ‘transparent government’ and ‘open government’ that bambi promised is just wonderfully!
And look at his shiny new clothes! They’re made with ‘special’ threads that common people can’t see…but he’s not really walking ’round nekkid. It’s just the glare from his gold crown that Pelosi’s butt fat polished so brightly for him that is causing the distraction.

I really believe they will try to pass this shit storm with deem n pass (demonpass as Ace calls it) because they know it will be overturned by the Supreme court.
Tons of lawyerly type of people and even judge type people have all said if they attempt demonpass it will be ruled unconstitutional.
So this way they can say they passed it, but the evil conservative supreme court won’t allow it.
They save face and don’t have to “deal” with the ire of the people (which they will have to anyway)

Hadn’t heard that theory but it’s plausible and means we don’t get stuck with obamacare, so yeah… I’ll take that. But I hope it doesn’t get that far…

They refuse to listen to the people so doesn’t that mean the people have a right to revolt?
17. March 2010 at 6:52 pm
The people are revolting…no wait, OBAMA is revolting.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma’s Democratic Congressman tells Pelosi to pound salt:

Anyone see barry talk down to Fox News in his interview. Got rather defensive when pushed for specifics instead of generalizations.
Funny how for a ‘non-news’ entity, they managed to hit him right in the short hairs. Looked like he didn’t like it…so sad.
18. March 2010 at 8:35 am
I didn’t see it… but I will…
18. March 2010 at 10:43 am
They ran it first thing on “Today” this morning. DH and I were cracking up at how frustrated Hussein was getting at being asked questions by the reporter and requests for clarification and specifics instead of bs generalities.
Go Fox!

Dangit… can’t find the entire interview!
