Sign at the vet’s office:
“Don’t let your dogs near the cold-killed iguanas… they may contain botulism.”

Cell phone pic, of course.
Daisy and I just returned from the vet, where she had her yearly physical and poking. She didn’t even try to bite anyone!

Gus starts screaming (literally) before the vet ever even touches him. They couldn’t take his temp this last time. Couldn’t hold him down.
Fiona is stoic about it all.

Poor Gus!! He must be scared to death… I myself would love to scream at my internist…

Poor Gus is a giant wuss.

So is Bree, but thank goodness she doesn’t make a fuss at the vet. Too big a dog for that. [shudder]

Dimmit! But there’s nothing better than a frozen iguana on a stick for treat. Now they’re just taking all the fun out of it! It fell out of the tree fair and square!
Poor Darla has to wear a muzzle because she’s just not thrilled on being poked and proded (and it’s a relief when it’s all done). Boo Hahn would rather be getting her nails clipped (something she hates since her first two experiences, she got clipped too short each time) but she just bides her time until she can get off the flipping table.
I think we’re going to start looking in to the house call vets. Maybe that will be easier…on everyone.

Iguana on a stick!
There are small animal vets who make house calls?

Lance and Maggie give their sympathies to Daisy. They are getting their dentals on Thursday and will be poked and proded before being put under and then poked and proded some more.
Maggie use to go bat shit crazy at the vet, but there is a new vet at the practice and I think she has a crush on him because she acts all lady like now when he touches her.

I wish I was in Tijuana
Eating barbequed iguana
I’d take requests on the telephone
I’m on a wavelength far from home
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
I dial it in from south of the border
I hear the talking of the DJ
Can’t understand just what does he say?
I’m on a mexican radio. I’m on a Mexican, whoa-Oh, radio

OH… I listened, but must have missed iguana. Do they really eat ‘em?
10. February 2010 at 2:40 pm
I hope not…
12. February 2010 at 7:13 pm
Anything is edible if one is hungry enough. Doesn’t anyone watch Bear Grylls?
12. February 2010 at 8:13 pm
Uh.. no. Is it a tv show?
22. February 2010 at 5:24 am
Man Vs Wild. Yep. A TV show. On Discovery. I know, I know, you don’t get that channel. Neither do I anymore. Ha! I’ll make Buster subscribe to cable again in April and I’ll be able to catch up on old eps.

Sounds like a good ‘un. I’ll check for online eps.. sometimes hulu or one of the other sites will run Discovery, HBO, etc..
