Glenn Beck questioned Texas Gubernatorial candidate and Ron Paulian Debra Medina about her alleged Truther beliefs.
Glenn asked: “Do you believe the government was any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Center on 9/11?”
“I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I’m not, I’m not in a place — I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there’s some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there.”
Medina later rebutted her own statements:
“…there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way…”
Making her a liar as well.
Medina can backpedal as fast as she wants; it’s very clear what she truly believes…
Is she just another person using the phrase ‘constitutional conservative’ to their advantage?
Perfect example of why we’ve got to look at all the candidates carefully, regardless of party affiliation or how opposed to the current administration’s policies they may be, and avoid the mentality of “anybody but Obama or a Democrat”. Because there are crackpots everywhere and this lady sounds like one of them. We can’t afford people like that in high gov’t offices any more than the current crop that’s in there already.
Very true, Dave. Wish Texans could look at Medina’s voting record, but she hasn’t voted on anything in an elected public official capacity.

On one small detail, she’s right. I hope we haven’t seen all the evidence, nor should we for another fifty or more years.
I am sick of people who think we should know everything during a war. I have nether the security clearance nor the need to know a whole lot of things about this fight we’re in. While I do not know exactly how my knowing everything about those nineteen dickweeds who killed damned near three thousand of us would harm anyone, I suspect there are ways. We have men and women under deep cover, trying to find out what these assholes are planning to do next. The wrong detail of what we know could let the assholes guess how we know it which can cost lives.

But apparently she’s well known as being a truther so that’s why Glenn questioned her on it in depth… She could have dismissed it as a rumor and stated that terrorists attacked us… but she used the standard truther lines… and outed herself, no matter what she said later.

There are plenty of GOPers that are jumping up and down with their hands in the air “me too, me too! I’m a TeaParty conservative – I am a Constitutionalist – I’m just like you” that are just spouting words. Words are not enough when they come from those we should have a knee jerk belief are liers and it is upon them to prove otherwise. Yeah yeah, I know, presumed innocent. I assume you mean them trying to hitch their wagons to what they feel is a popular movement is shameful – not me calling them liers? It means we really have to be careful to look into their backgrounds and records. Politicians seem to make it a habit to say one thing when they run, and another when they get into office. We (Americans in general, not you or me) have let them get away with this, so they have no shame in the habit. We (all of us) must stop letting them get away with it. We must hold their feet to the fire and make sure they understand that if they do not hold to campaign promises or statements (without damn good, demonstrable reasons) they will be one termers. Period.

Do I think the unabashedly cowardly act of destroying the World Trade Center and killing thousands of innocent people was a quote ‘inside’ government job’? Hell no. I refuse to think that my own country would sacrifice people in such a cruel, devastating and cowardly way. And if it were true, I would be looking into moving to Canada, Mexico or somewhere else until I picked a different counry. A country that would do that to its own people is beyond salvation, IMHO. :pray:

I remember last year when a tanker truck crash in Oakland near the Bay Bridge started a fire hot enough to melt and collapse one of the overpasses of the MacArthur Maze (the I-80, I-580, and I-680 interchange), all seen on TV and YouTube. Made a lot of these “truthers” look ignorant and stupid.
I’ve often wondered the same thing!
The fires at the WTC did not “melt steel”. They were, however, hot enough to draw the temper out of the reinforcing beams. The beams did not melt, they buckled under the weight.
Oddly, those buildings probably would not have collapsed if the beams had been wrapped in Asbestos like the building used to be before that ridiculous “Asbestos Cancer Scare” that helped enrich a few dozen trial lawyers to no benefit to the citizenry. The newfangled stuff used in the WTC buildings doesn’t work as well. That little factois is of no help to the leftist overlords so it isn’t seen on the news, just “fire can’t melt steel!”
