It’s been snowing in Houston the better part of the day. Not much sticks, but some areas have itty bitty drifts; it’s so cool!
This is my SIL’s front yard in NW Houston… she set the webcam in the window so I can watch the snow come down! Yeah, you can’t see it in the still shot, but it’s there…!

There’s nothing like a vicarious snowflake on ones tongue… especially when one is sitting in a sauna…

Dang…it’s been almost 10 years and I STILL miss snow! I get like an excited 3 year old when it would snow at home. I love it! I love everything about it. How quiet and peaceful the world turns. How things take on a special stillness when it snows. When you can stand outside and “hear” the snow landing on the ground and the trees. And of course having a snowball fight with unsuspecting friends in parking lots is not to be overlooked!
Yep, still miss it. Always will I think. I’m a seasonal girl. Not that going to the beach on Christmas isn’t nice…but Christmas lights on a palm tree is just wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Got about 2 inches here… Which is only about a mile from Trinity Bay…
Supposed to go down to 24 or 25 tonight…
If Al Gore was here I’d slap him into next week…
This is 2 years in a row and 3 times in six years that we’ve had snow…
Oh yeah… We’re setting two all time low temperature records tonight, one at 11:59 PM and another at 12:01 AM… Records that have stood since the late 1800′s…

Really, I think it’s cooling instead of warming… but still, it’s nothing we’ve done to cause it and we can’t stop it… and it will prolly reverse itself again one day.
