We can’t impeach fucking morons unless they do something provably illegal and the Congress is willing to go through the process. We the people cannot impeach at all. If we could – holy moly – we’d take it all back wouldn’t we. oh yeah.
The tragic thing is, we have a system with which we could prevent morons from gaining power. It started with the simple franchise. No one got to vote without having something to protect. A person had to own property or have a skilled trade and the tools with which to practice that trade.
Then of course, the Senate was not directly elected. So, it was only people with a stake in the game that got to vote. Those voters would not take money from “the wealthy”, ie themselves to give to those who would not work. And the legislatures were careful about who they sent to the Senate.
This system worked well, right up until the universal franchise, which was the big mistake. Everything started going downhill after that. :texas:
