Let’s not discriminate against him just because he hates us.
The FBI was aware of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and his definitely un-American thoughts before he coldly gunned down 13 people and wounded 30 while reportedly shouting “Allahu Akbar!”.
Six months ago Hasan came to the attention of the FBI because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings.
After lauding a Muslim U.S. Army soldier who killed comrades in Kuwait in 2003, Hasan wrote in an online posting, “If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers … that would be considered a strategic victory.”
“Maybe the Muslims should rise up and fight against the aggressor”
At Fort Hood, Hasan exhibited a troubled state of mind. Retired Col. Terry Lee, who worked with Hasan at the psych ward at Fort Hood, told Fox News that about six months ago he heard Hasan say, “Maybe the Muslims should rise up and fight against the aggressor,” in Iraq and Afghanistan — referring to the U.S. Army.
How did this terrorist get promoted in the United States Army? Why wasn’t he facing a court martial or trial for his treason? Why open fire on comrades instead of resigning his commission? His family is from Jordan and are Muslim. Why even join the Army against their wishes? He knew he could be deployed. I find it hard to believe that deployment was his biggest motivator. As a medical doctor he would not have been in the midst of battle… but rather helping other soldiers. Cowardice has a new face.
His Imam, Faizul Khan:
He said Maj Hasan often talked about wanting a wife.
On a form filled out by those seeking spouses through a program at the mosque, Mr Kahn said Maj Hasan listed his birthplace as Arlington, Va., but his nationality as Palestinian.
Mr Khan also said the psychiatrist applied to an annual matrimonial seminar that matches Muslims looking for spouses. “I don’t think he ever had a match, because he had too many conditions,” Mr Khan said.
I dearly hope Hasan does not die from his wounds. I hope he lives a very long, horrible life in a very small, dank cell. Actually, I’d take his head on a pike… but that’s just selfish.
…and don’t get me started on that hideous babbled statement of obama’s, complete with shout out and pointing.
He couldn’t even get the shout out right. When he said:
I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow (ph) was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It’s good to see you.
WRONG. Crow was awarded the Medal of Freedom.

And we will see MORE of these events throughout our society until we find the intestinal fortitude to target the disease, not just the symptoms. This is a war of ideology that extends beyond any isolated middle eastern or global border. Their method of attack is infiltration. Look at what is happening and has happened already in Europe. Previously rational societies are adopting Sharia. Unbelievable.
This Fort Hood incident was borne not of an isolated madman but of that ideology. We’re fighting a conventional war in response to a declared “Holy War.”
What we need is a New Crusades.

I agree that it’s a war of idealogy, but are all muslims radical islamists? And how to separate the wheat from the chaff, so to speak..?
November 6th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
Is standing silent as others act heinously in the name of your god not radical enough? Where is the outrage from the Muslim community? I charge Islam with complicity in every un-denounced murder that’s preceded by the cry “Allahu Akbar!”
Our military can’t stand alone to fight a war of ideology. But where are our Christian religious leaders? Why are we so afraid to stand up and declare in our society that Muslim hate will not be tolerated, let alone embraced?
And thanks to SorObama, our government is now doing exactly the opposite of what we NEED to do to fight this war – we need to stand with our friend Israel! Why are we turning a deaf ear and a blind eye to their plight? Why are we siding with the enemy against our friends? Our silence, our unwillingness to act is only emboldening our enemies.
I’m not advocating wiping out a people, but attacking a belief system that is evil and unjust. (But cutting down those who would do us harm is a good start, IMHO.)
I don’t know what the answer is. But every time there is outrage and murderous threats over a fucking cartoon, every time bold and threatening statements of annihilation are made against our friends, every time we are told that the Holocaust was nothing more than a myth or a good start we need to stand up and shout “NO!!” instead of sitting on our hands. Every time some asshole(s) kill innocents in the name of Allah and we see Muslim crowds rejoicing in the streets, we need to demand that the leaders of Islam firmly and sincerely reject the action, or be dealt consequences.
What would those consequences be? A wiser man than I would have to answer that. But I know what I would want to do…
All I can say is I won’t be dhimmi. I will not accept the hateful, evil god of Islam, her child-molesting “prophet” Muhammad, nor the governance of Sharia on my land. I won’t stand silent while cowardly jihadi atrocities are committed against innocents. And I vow I will call out any idiot that spouts Islamist hate in my midst before he can act.
I am an “Infidel” and I am proud of it. Molon Labe!

Well said, Bitterroot!
Actually, CAIR has come out denouncing the attack, as though they matter.
I’d like to know why, if Hasan had been under surveillance for what amounts to hate speech against US and his own brothers-in-arms, was left to skate away to kill another day. The whole ‘mustn’t accuse him because he’s muslim’ political correctness bullshit? What?
And where ARE our Christian leaders? Or are they afraid that the spotlight will be swung onto them next?
Know what I loathe? When they say ‘but it’s the same God’. No, it’s not.

Sad. I think that now everybody knows the turd’s name, we should forget him and focus our attention on the victims and their families. I’m sick and tired of the media trying to sympathize with these mass murderers. Let their names die out and be forgotten by society as they rot in prison or hell for their crimes. Being forever anonymous would be the best justice.
November 6th, 2009 at 10:36 am
Yes, the focus should now be on the survivors. I’m sure the media will find some way to make him out to be the victim here, but the true victims need our support.

As to how this turd got promoted, that’s easy. When he got his residency he was a Captain. All Army Doctors who have completed their “basic training” as MDs are Captains. Then he finished his Residency and became, officialy, a full bore Psychiatrist. This brings an automatic promotion to Major.
Now, I have my questions about whether or not he should have completed his residency with that attitude of his, along with wondering why he wasn’t locked up while the lawmen examined his comments and blog posts but that is a problem we, as a society, must work out. We know some Muslims in America want to kill us while others just want a better life for their families. Which is which? The Spanish were faced with that same problem after they chased almost all the Moors out of Spain during Queen Isabella’s time. The result? The Spanish Inquisition. This was a pretty rough time for a lot of people. What’s the answer, now? I dunno. We have managed to demonize the internment of Japanese Americans during WW2 so much that it doesn’t look as if we can do anything like that.
Something will happen, though. And when it does, it won’t be pretty.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Thanks, Peter. I didn’t know about the ‘automatic’ promotion system.
When the something happens, will it be them rising up against us or vice versa? The US no longer has the stomach for anything like internment camps and would instead rather be ‘liked’ by the rest of the world.
I have questions and no answers.

All I know is that the safety of my grandchildren is not something on which I am willing to negotiate. That is why we have a government. The safety of our soldiers when they are required to be unarmed is another item which we should not negotiate.
I am seeing rumblings of serious discontent with the new ROE in Afghanistan. Troops claiming it’s killing our people. This is a hard one as it is natural for troops to complain. You know that troops are happy when they are complaining. We won’t know for sure until we see the reenlistment rates. Even at the worst of Iraq the reenilistment rate was higher than before the fight began. If it drops we’ll know there is something wrong.
At any rate we must somehow explain, in words they can understand, to our government that their job is protecting the American people, not ruining the American economy.
November 8th, 2009 at 7:19 am
They’ll never understand that.
I don’t know about reenlistment numbers, but Arthur was at an air show at Homestead AFB yesterday and saw quite a few young men [& women?] take the pledge. It was a grand thing to see.
