I completely dug up and redid part of the front beds yesterday. The part which Cleveland, in his infinite wisdom, had tarted up without my knowledge or consent.
I vowed to live with it for a while, but yesterday was long enough. The man had used quikrete along the edges of the bricks and under some of them. Breaking that up was about as fun as a visit to the proctologist’s office.

I loathe those yellow/green plants but that’s a job for another day.

I also started work on this lump on the left, reducing it and using its rocks for the mess on the right. As it is now, the beds look like two dangling boobs with a mess in the middle.

I don’t know what to do with this space. [sigh] It’s hit and miss.

I think that last area just needs a bit more density to even it out. It looks fine otherwise.
Can’t believe you’re undoing what was just done. No. Wait. I can.

HaHa.
And ‘density’ doesn’t help me too much… What kind/which plants and where? Do I take the old stuff out or leave it?
See what I mean?

I dunno. My Mama would punish me for both real and imagined infractions by making me do donkey labor in her garden. Since then I’d rather go to the Proctologist.
So, I’ve got a really messy yard but my ass is healthy.

Because my friend Anthony used to say a meeting with his Sgt. was about as much fun as a prostate probe I picked that up. Of course.
But it would have sounded a little weird coming from a woman, so I changed it slightly…

Leave what’s there and then add more of those long green leafy things in the front. You could fill in a bit here and there with jade plants (easy peasy maintenance on those..they even grew for me).

Jade might be really cool… I never see them outside here but I know they’d grow…
