Hanging

Family Life

In a reversal of yesterday’s festivities, hubby drove me to the optometrist today. He might have stayed home but the doc was eager to do some ‘mapping’ of his eyes.

They took him in first… and five minutes later I heard someone screaming ‘Call 911!’ from the back of the offices. And then again. The front desk personnel all ran to the inner recesses of the building, then one came back out front and took up the phone to dial 911.

I had walked to the desk and interrupted her as she hung the receiver up. “Is it my husband?’ She said ‘I’m sorry sweetie; I just don’t know’.

Glancing over at the only other person sitting in the waiting room, a college age girl with long blonde hair – who hadn’t even looked up from her book – I weighed the odds and my options and went through the door like a bulldozer. I was on a mission and they couldn’t have stopped me with napalm. I was met halfway and reassured that it was not Arthur. Some young guy had fainted when the doctor dilated his eyes!

The nurse directed me to a chair outside the room my old guy was in and told me I could wait there. Fine with me, because I was shaking like a leaf.

Found out later that as soon as the doctor called ’911′ Arthur left his room to make sure it wasn’t me, right on the heels of the nurse giving him the eye test!

Love will take you where you never thought you could, or would, go. Make you do things you never thought yourself capable of doing.

While sitting there watching the paramedics I couldn’t help but think about those who were murdered by a coward yesterday and the horror of personal loss that their families must be going through. For a moment I thought something might be wrong with Arthur. They have to live with what that sack of shit did for a lifetime.

Hanging’s too good for him.

That happened to LLB, too! It’s called a vaso-vagal reaction. It’s quite common. Needless to say, they won’t be dilating her eyes any time soon!

Wow! Scary, huh? The doctor is all of three feet tall; I swear she’s a Munchkin! The guy who passed out was pretty big, so she was afraid that he’d fall out of the chair!

I said ‘that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen, huh?’ :(

OMG, Pam! When I first started reading, my heart was in my throat – I can only imagine how you must have reacted!!!

Hanging? Obama will probably award the sonofabitch the missing Congressional Medal of Honor. They can show off their faux awards together… *spit*

The thing that really burns me is that for all those families that are suffering, Obama – the fucking Commander in Chief for chrissakes – was giving shout-outs and wearing a big ol’ shit-eating grin for a whole two minutes and 27 seconds at that podium leading into his address of the grim event. They are all committed to follow his orders, and it’s clear he doesn’t give a damn if they live or die. GAH!!

If I were Secret Service, someone could have shot a flaming arrow at him from the back of the room and I wouldn’t have seen a fucking thing. “Oops. Hey!” *fist bump* “That thing came out of nowhere, eh! There I was, just… Oh, can someone bring a glass of water from the kitchen before the drapes catch fire?” /daydream

    Prick.

    I. Am. Still. Seething!

(But I am so, so, SO happy you and Arthur are fine!)

I’m so sorry, Bitterroot! Should have explained right off the bat that we were all fine!

Hey, even the drive by media is taking the one to task for his poor handling of the press conference and his ‘insensitivity’.

Well, not really. They think that he should hire better people because his true colors were showing through and that might alienate Americans. More concerned about his image than anything else. It’s disgusting.

I really hope this sonofabitch lives in prison for a good long while before he is executed in accordance with the UCMJ. Just think! Every time a guard walks by he’ll hear that he was shot by a woman. Oh, and unless he’s somewhere where there are a whole pile of black muslims he’s going to have to be in isolation or he’ll be able to rent his ass out to park Buicks in a very short time. Prison is a tough place and, oddly perhaps, convicts are mostly extremely patriotic although our version of patriotism is somewhat different than theirs.

I would have done what you did Pam, how scary. I never heard of someone passing out from having their eyes dilated…weird.

The worst part of all this is that for the families who have enough problems worrying about their loved ones when they are sent into harms way, harms way has found it’s way here, on our soil and instead of doing something about it, the current administration is doing things like removing the cap for the Veterans health coverage. Meaning our medical premiums could skyrocket making private insurance more affordable for for us than Tricare.

Let’s see who supports him when he has to institute a draft because he is not support the military. Although you know what, he probably wouldn’t even do that, he just leave us as sitting ducks.

    • pam Says:

Frankly, I think he wants us sitting ducks. It’s a difficult scenario to wrap my mind around… a sitting President wants us weakened and defenseless… but this one has shown his true colors. It’s the only thing I can think.

I’m so glad it wasn’t you or Arthur. And you know what? I love that you two love each other so fully that you reacted as you did.
